Another spectacular and horrifying experience by saineko08 and silver978, in their debut 3D game! This was extremely fun, a simple and engaging concept that made me uncomfortable through the end, while leaving me filled with questions.
I really liked the story, the idea was pretty good and they used it in a good way, amazing game
Классная получилось игра, не жалею что купил. Пока что не полностью её прошёл, но я думаю всё ещё впереди, ведь у меня есть 7 дней чтобы подумать над этим)
This is a nice short anomaly game. It can take you as little as 15 minutes to beat, if you're good at it. But it took me over 2 hours to get all achievements. In my opinion, the game is worth its price, despite being short. Unlike other anomaly games, you don't try to find a single anomaly in a familiar room. Instead, several random anomalies will spawn around your apartment, and you have to check every single detail around the place, because at the end, you will be shown a random picture. And your task is to figure if the version of the apartment you just left matches the picture or not. For example, if you find blood on the floor, but the picture shows a clean floor on that location, you have to select "No". But if the anomaly, or lack of, matches with what you saw, you select "Yes". If you get the answer correctly, you proceed to the next day, until you beat all 7 days (it's in the title). The anomalies will become familiar after a while, but you still have to pay atention, because you don't know what picture you're goint to be shown. Some of these anomalies are really cheap jumpscares that will only scare you once. But honestly, they are used in a good way, since they distract you from other small details in the apartment, especially the normal stuff, (like whether the toilet lid was open or not). The story is a very nice message about anxiety and ways to deal with your problems, I really enjoyed it. It feels very connected to the game "Looking Up I See Only A Ceiling", by the same dev. The artstyle is exactly the same, and I love it, specially in this new 3D environment. There is also a hard mode, a museum of anomalies, and a small bonus story, and those are great too.
Totally worth it, especially for the price. It took me around 45 minutes to finish my first playthrough (true ending) and around 2 hours to finish all the content. The gameplay is fun, I found it similar to Exit 8. The different endings are nice as well as the extra content. Plus, the achievements don't seem grindy/tedious. I like how the themes of stress and overthinking were portrayed. The art was probably my favorite thing just like in Looking Up I See Only A Ceiling.
another great short game by silver978!
Para ser un juego corto tiene buenas mecánicas y buen contendió
Great gameplay loop. Took about 40 minutes for my first playthrough but I will be replaying to discover the truth! Definitely worth the $4-5 I paid! Works great on Linux!
After getting all of the achievements I can say that it was definitely a good game. The gameplay was way better than their previous game, Looking Up I See Only A Ceiling, but in my opinion, the story wasn't--although I imagine this game was made with more of a gameplay-centric than story-centric approach and LUISOAC was the opposite. It's also a game that gets more and more fun the more you play, because not only do you start to identify what the things you should really be focusing on are and you start being able to get through sections more and more efficiently, but I genuinely just liked the post-game content a lot more than my first playthrough. Going for all of the keys, exploring the museum, finding all of the endings, doing the Secret Story, and doing hard mode are the highlights (especially hard mode, I thought that was super fun). My tip (especially for the Quick Thinker achievement) is to whisper to yourself what you see and notice general details, such as if the room looks cluttered, if there's a lot of monsters, it looks very bloody, if it looks just like a normal room, things like that. Then when you have to decide whether or not you remember the image, go with your gut, don't overthink, and just try to remember the things you told yourself. It also sort of reminds me of The Exit 8, because they're both horror-centric games where you keep going through the same base room and you look for details in the room. I think it's completely valid if you like The Exit 8 more, especially because I think it has a better atmosphere and it's honestly just more scary in general, but I definitely prefer this game because it's much more balanced and it actually has a story. My only real complaints are the jumpscares, because not only do they feel very cheap most of the time, but because the gameplay loop is about playing the same section over and over again they get VERY stale VERY fast. On my FIRST playthrough I had 3 back-to-back rooms with the same exact hand-coming-out-of-the-shower jumpscare. It's not that I don't think the game should have jumpscares, in fact I think they are a good idea but I just think this game is in desperate need for more variety with them. Also, during the seventh day the key location in the closet can be obstructed by the huge grainy-blue-white variation of the closet but I'm sure that's something that'll get patched. Also I really liked the nods to the last game in the Secret Story
