About
21 Dungeons mashes up the tension of Blackjack with the progression of an RPG.
In this game, your sword is your deck. Every turn is a gamble, and every enemy presents a new puzzle. Do you hit and risk a bust to deal massive damage, or do you stand and play it safe?

Unique and innovative. Since the game is still in its early stages, it’s a bit of a diamond in the rough. With a little more fine-tuning and some extra love given to the smaller details, it’s really going to shine. 21 Dungeons demonstrates significant promise within the roguelike clicker genre. Its core loop is remarkably engaging, making it an easy recommendation for anyone seeking a streamlined, high-replayability experience.
Nice little time-killer with a fun twist on Blackjack. The deckbuilding and unlockable heroes give the game some replay value, and it's easy to pick up for short sessions. I'm looking forward to future updates, especially proper sound effects, replacing the current placeholder visuals and new content. My only complaint is that a natural Blackjack (Ace + 10) isn't stronger than a regular 21, which takes away some of the excitement.
- no music or option to adjust volume mid round - sound effects are really, really harsh +- gameplay can feel really punishing, you might have a really good run going and then you 100-0 in 4-5 hands (which either makes you to ragequit the game or pushes you for another run) - small bugs here and there (not gamebreaking though) + innovative roguelike mechanic, which is oddly addicting + soul shop upgrades feel rewarding + bosses actually feel like bosses + usually after a semi decent run you have enough souls to get upgrades and you feel the need for "one more round" + hero choice really matters and affects gameplay in surprising ways + deck builder is a great addition which gives a lot of replay value At this stage, the game is a bit rough around the edges and needs some more attention to details and polishing. 21 dungeons has a lot of potential to become a really addictive and engaging roguelike clicker and if you're looking for a fast-paced simple roguelike with replay value, i'd recommend!
FOR MORE CARD AND BOARD GAMES FOLLOW US CARD GAME KING
What makes Balatro interesting compared to normal poker rules is that it allows players to break rules and strategize in completely new and a unique way. 21 Dungeon doesn't seem to let you break any rules. The result is a classic blackjack game under a new wrapper that just adds hp and a roguelite mode but not without inheriting blackjack's biggest flaw - its luck based core. Without luck mitigation or special advantages it becomes a long game of luck. New battles inherit previous losses (through hp loss) and wins don't offer much of an advantage (barely any rewards). To paint a picture, I once almost lost against the very first enemy who had half my hitpoints, just because I kept getting bad hands, like 14 and 15, while the enemy beats my 20s with 21s. With 0 luck mitigation, the only decision making involved is essentially following the same established guideline in blackjack on when to stand or hit. There are some items that slightly change the game, but they are so expensive that it takes a while to get your first one. Same with permanent upgrades, that demand multiple playhtoughs. 21 Dungeons stays true to the blackjack core and that's what's holding it back.
Favorite mechanics
• None
The positive
+ Neat UI
The neutral
* Roguelite upgrades are not that exciting. * Whenever an achievment is gained, a confirmation window pops put mid game that needs to be manually closed.
The negative
- No rewards for defeating enemies (except gold) - Too luck based - No real decision making space
Conclusion:
Unfortunately, 21 doesn't offer any exciting modifications to the classic game of black jack and inherits all of its flaws. Not recommended, 4/10
