Very, very similar to the first game with some minor iteration. Weapons are a little more interesting/differentiated. Some new moves to learn. A few pointless minigames. The same (unintentional??) humor and charm in the translation. Still a better love letter to Kunio than recent "official" franchise releases.
The Legend of the Dragonflame High School 2 is a 2D retro pixel arcade beat'em'up where you have just 3 moves, jump, punch and kick, and the sequel to the first game of the series with the same name. Play some Japanese high school kid and fight bullies and ninjas. A couple of combo moves were added (a proper jump/kick move for example) which improves the game very slight... but not much. Gameplay is really bad here, there's little to no balance in the gameplay because there's only limited moves, your enemies have them too, and they outnumber you significantly. At least in Double Dragon you had an edge, and a lot of cool moves you could do. In line with the developers just barely knowing how to add cool stuff to a fighting game like combos, they couldn't work out 3D graphics, better graphics than pixel "art", widescreen, fullscreen, or pretty much anything else, either. The game falls way beneath minimum standards for PC.
As good of a game as the first one.
Well done game, it has more to offer than what you could expect from looking at the screenshots. Definitely worth the money.
Simple beat'em up in Double Dragon style. Short and grinding for powerups makes it relatively easy. Never found much use for additional fighting moves though as boosting stats and basic moves was quote enough. Characters move so fast that you can't even make special moves. Trailer shows football and basketball and driving with motorbike which didn't come up during gameplay. I don't know is this based on some anime or should I know more about Dragonflame school but ending was just confusing. Maybe violence is the answer.
