Somes puzzles doesn't work properly and the graphics are not very good. But if you want more informations about the titanic, you got it.
I don't recall that i haven't recommended another game but this one i simple can't. Only the story is nice. It's HO scene after HO scene, no voice over or any interaction, pixel hunting, some really wired and obscure puzzles. I bought it like 50 cents so it's ok. If you buy it that low and don't want to finish it at once, give it a try.
5/10 Average hidden object game elevated by a nice story
I really like games set around the Titanic with the best being Adventure out of Time so as I recently found unexpected enjoyment in hidden object games I thought this would be a nice one to try. The locations of the ship are pretty well presented and seem similar enough to the ones in AOOT that I think they are probably based on real photos of the ship. They do look authentic and you get a good range of locations. Firstly I had no problems running this on Windows 11, no crashes, no bugs, it's not full screen and the images are clear enough to cause no problems. The hidden objects are of the format of a load of objects dumped on an image. I prefer objects that make sense in that location rather than 10 swords in the turkish bath and placed with a little more thought, but it wasn't too bad. Most rounds have 10 objects of a theme to find followed by a further 10 random objects. There is a puzzle in some of the images that require you to find parts and then solve the puzzle. You can use a life preserver to point out and object and in each image extra life preservers are present to restock your hints (up to 6). I didn't find any of these sections too difficult but it was nice to be able to use the hints to find that last object before it became annoying. The puzzles are ok, standard stuff, word jumbles, rearrange the photo and very frustrating rearrange matches. You can skip any of these for a time penalty. The highlight of this game was the story which is really in two parts. One is a diary from the original Titanic, you get a page of this diary after each scene and although I would have preferred it presented in a more interesting way, it does tell a nice story which has an interesting finish. The other story element is set in the modern day on the Titanic II, someone has place a bomb and is taunting you by letter to solve who and why this has been done. Overall I think this is worth playing for the story with the hidden object game being decent enough. 5/10
This is a rough around the edges hidden object game that might have been fun if not for the broken puzzles, pacing issues caused by repetition and backtracking, and plotline that somehow manages to make the sinking of the Titanic even more depressing. - Gameplay - There are 31 available locations in the game, all of which are revisited twice. The first time you explore a scene, you’ll play three rounds of hidden object puzzles: finding 10 of one item, finding a list of disparate items, and a small fractured object challenge. These are immediately followed by a minigame. Revisiting a scene offers one final round of list-based object finding. There are no adventuring elements in this game. - HOS - The hidden object scenes are fairly easy to visually parse, but there are often multiple items that match each list clue, and objects require pixel accuracy when clicking on them. However, there doesn’t seem to be any penalty for misclicks, and you start the game with 6 hints available. Corners were clearly cut on these puzzles, though - there is overlap in the clue lists between the first and second visits, and the same image assets are reused across multiple puzzles. - Minigames - The minigames also suffer heavily from repetition - there are only 15 different puzzle types across 31 instances, with the majority being reskins of expected genre standards (jigsaws, spot-the-difference, matching, block pushing, tile rotation, etc). A few of the duplicates escalate the challenge level, but most have only slight variations to the visuals, and one is the exact same thing a second time. Furthermore, 5 of the 31 minigames are completely broken, with necessary graphics not displaying. I managed to brute force my way through them anyway with a lot of painstakingly strategic clicking, but as far as I can tell the only penalty for skipping is losing time off your high score ranking. - Story - The tone of the writing uncomfortably waffles between nostalgic edutainment, and actively punching your heartstrings. Additionally, every few scenes you receive a taunting letter from the culprit you are chasing. Rather than adding tension, these letters only serve to A) showcase how absolutely arbitrary the villain’s identity is, B) highlight your slow story progress, and C) remind you how much backtracking and repetition you are doing. The game is only about 4 hours long, but it felt like 7-8 while playing - in part because of these notes. I got this game in a bundle. I wouldn’t recommend buying it on its own unless it was on a steep discount, and even then, there are so many better HOGs out there with more to offer.
Gutes Old-School Hidden Object Game. Veraltete Grafik, aber viele Hidden Objects mit Story drumherum
I've never really embraced the hidden object game genre. If I had to pick one, this would not be it. Repetitive beyond measure! You go through the same background locations OVER AND OVER! A plot about as thin as any gay porn. Not even an animated ending! My score placed 3 from the top at 2H 38M. Apparently someone, with a top score, beat it in a hour? Cheat much?! BTW where do these rankings come from?! Can't wait to flush this off my SSD.
This is a routine mobile ported hidden object casual puzzle/adventure game with a historical/fantasy/mystery theme. Solving various puzzles and hidden object minigames progresses the plot and unravels the mystery. As with most mobile ported HOGs, there's a simplistic interface, locked/unchangeable screen resolution, next to no customisability, and somewhat low resolution graphical assets. All of this puts this game below minimum standards for a contemporary PC game. There's also no widescreen support, despite the game being published in 2019. This is a perfect game for people with 1990's 4:3 CRT monitors.
its a fun game
Tbh, it's a very chill game. No fuss, just find the items and play mini games. If you're bored but do not want to think at all, this is the game to play.
