[i]100 Dogs in India[/i] is a cozy, cute hidden object game developed and published by Powerset Games. As the name states, 100 dogs are hiding all over a big city in India (probably, New Delhi), and you have to find them all. When you find a dog, you click on it, which is accompanied by a barking sound. There's only one background, and you can choose between full screen or windowed mode. You can zoom in and out of the background, either by using the zoom function on the left hand side of the game screen or by scrolling the mouse wheel. Also, there's a hint function if you get stuck on finding those one or two elusive puppies. XD In addition, lots of Steam achievements are present, but they won't count towards a user's global total until the game is out of "Steam is learning about this game".

It certainly has been quite a while since I last played a HOG, so I'm glad that I'm getting back into them, and [i]100 Dogs in India[/i] is a great game to get back into the genre. Of course, there isn't really much of a story here, so I'll just talk about the gameplay.
I found it easy to search for all of the hidden dogs, especially with the available zoom function. None of the dogs escaped my sight, but it's great that there's a hint function in case players get stuck on finding a few. It should be a given to have such a feature, but there are a few HOGs that lack it. If there's a criticism I have to make, it's regarding the windowed mode option. Even though I appreciate that there is one, the default windowed mode is pretty small, so I had to stretch out my game screen to make it easier to view the picture. Also, I don't think there's an option to darken the background. Although it doesn't bother me, it might be a bit troublesome for those who want to view the background a little more easily. (However, if there is such a mode, please feel free to correct me. ^^) However, I was able to obtain all of the Steam achievements very easily.
With the art, the background is drawn beautifully, and I love how cute the dog sprites are. Each sprite has a unique look, along with a unique name. When you click on a dog, it's colored in a soothing dark blue color.

As for the music, there's only one track, but it's very relaxing to listen to, which is perfect as you're searching for all of those cute puppies. Also, I really like how there's a barking sound effect when you click on a dog, and they vary. It's a very cute touch. ^^
[h2]Conclusion[/h2]
Would I recommend [i]100 Dogs in India[/i]? If you're looking for a short, easy HOG to play and you especially adore puppies, then this is totally worth giving a try. It was great to play this game, and although I do enjoy the cat HOGs, it's nice to have more dog HOGs, too. At the asking price, it's quite cheap to pick up, but you can choose to wait for a sale. ^^
