I like the ability to be able to construct what you want (granted you "enable" the no money required option lol). It's a little bit of a struggle keeping everyone (animals and people) happy but I think the game is a success overall. If you are just looking to create a zoo (not pet, hand feed, groom the animals) just basic enclosure construction and construction of exhibits for guests then this is your game!
I love this game and, while it is confusing sometimes I would recommend this game.
Very nice sandbox successor to Zoo Games for zen designing and critter co-habitation finangling. Very much look forward to the full product. I consider my early access purchase an investment.

Zoo Constructor is a zoo management and simulation title developed and published by b-alive gmbh that attempts to merge ecological simulation with classic tycoon-style park management. At its core, the game invites players to design, build, and operate their own wildlife park while balancing animal welfare, visitor satisfaction, and financial sustainability. Rather than focusing purely on spectacle or simplified mechanics, Zoo Constructor leans toward systems-driven gameplay that emphasizes habitat design, species requirements, and economic planning. The foundation of the experience lies in constructing habitats tailored to the needs of over fifty different animal species. Each species comes with its own environmental demands, including terrain preferences, vegetation types, climate conditions, and social requirements. Players are not merely placing decorative enclosures; they must consider ecosystem compatibility and animal well-being. Terrain sculpting tools allow for shaping landscapes with water features, elevation changes, and plant placement, giving a degree of creative freedom in crafting enclosures. When properly managed, animals can breed, expanding populations and contributing to long-term park growth. Running the zoo extends far beyond building habitats. Players must hire and manage staff such as zookeepers, veterinarians, and maintenance workers to ensure smooth operations. Animals require feeding, healthcare, and monitoring, and neglecting these aspects can lead to declining welfare and visitor dissatisfaction. On the business side, visitors expect clean pathways, attractive enclosures, and amenities such as food stands and entertainment facilities. Balancing ticket prices and operational costs becomes essential, as expansion and upgrades demand steady revenue streams. The economic system ties these elements together. Income is generated through visitor attendance and park attractions, but expenses quickly accumulate through staffing, animal care, and infrastructure maintenance. Financial mismanagement can stall growth or force difficult trade-offs between animal quality and park aesthetics. The progression system unlocks additional structures, decorations, and animal species as players meet financial and developmental milestones, encouraging strategic expansion rather than unchecked building. Visually, Zoo Constructor adopts a functional 3D presentation. While it may not match the graphical polish of higher-budget zoo simulators, it provides clear layouts and manageable building tools. The interface prioritizes information accessibility, displaying data on animal health, visitor satisfaction, and financial metrics. However, the learning curve can feel steep at first, as players must navigate multiple interconnected systems. The game rewards patience and careful planning rather than quick experimentation. Compared to larger-scale zoo management titles, Zoo Constructor positions itself as a more modest but systems-oriented alternative. It may lack the cinematic detail or advanced behavioral animations of major genre competitors, yet it compensates with a solid focus on ecological mechanics and operational balance. Players who enjoy methodical management and sandbox-style construction will find depth in optimizing habitats and fine-tuning park efficiency. Ultimately, Zoo Constructor offers a thoughtful simulation experience that blends creative design with strategic oversight. Its strength lies in encouraging players to consider both environmental authenticity and financial pragmatism. While it may feel rough around the edges and less visually refined than some of its contemporaries, it provides a meaningful sandbox for those who appreciate zoo management grounded in ecosystem simulation and economic planning.
