«Zibbs - Alien Survival»
5 minutes of game

Hej, HEJ TY! Tak, ty, looknij tutaj. 👀 Spraw mi radość i daj followka na moim kuratorze Jaskinia Wilka 🐺. To nie boli, a korzyść jest obustronna. Dzięki temu będziesz na bieżąco z nowymi recenzjami. Naprawdę, nie ściemniam. Warto, więc na co jeszcze czekasz? A no tak, jak skończę pisać. Tuman ze mnie. 🤭
Zibbs - Alien Survival is a open world survival game, where you playing as an alien and you have to survive on Earth until you can make an UFO and get off from the planet. First things first, the graphocs looks okay. For 2020 it's not really anything special, but works as intended. What I don't like it, is if you see something in the distance is so blurry in my opinion or you can see it partially. Also the some UI element should get a better artwork (bar at the top left) and the forest should get a better graphics in general, more grass and give it bit more life. Adding more effects for the game would be awesome too! Controlls at first looked a bit hectic, but after few minutes I get the hang of it. Works good, and I think I didn't find any problem with it, works perfect. Sounds are okay too in the game. Not to repetitive, not annoying overtime either. I would listen more sound of the forest, humans and from animals, also sound effect when moving, 2-3 different sound effects for every skill and movement would be awesome too in the future, but for me it was all right. So what is the gameplay. The game tells you what you need to do and hold your hand while you playing. Developer added a tutorial menu where you can read how to play the game, but also videos how it looks ingame. This is a really good idea, but reading this actually takes lot of times, somehow this should get a sperated map to show the player how to play the game, and maybe the videos should get a rework, where you show the exact buttons you use. This game has it's own survival rules. First, you need to scan nutrition and resources and not just finding in the forest. You need to build up the nutrition balls or find animals you has these balls and get it or find the resource balls and get them. Eating has it's own system, which I liked it, bit weird at first but creative. You have special powers, for example when you see an unstable nutrion ball, you can stabilize it, you can also levitate humans or mind control them, and you can levitate yourself too. You can learn this abilites if you collect different nutrion types and human stuff. This is also a cool system, however bit funny I need to find a green gemstone ring to get an ability, but it's a cool thing to have. You have to watch out your statuses. Eating is important of course, body temperature, energy and mind power also things you need to watch out. Every time you use any of your skills, you lose mind power and you can get back by meditation. This is also a fine system, and it stops you to speed run the game, but I think the mind power is getting empty very quickly. Also the temperature status is works bit extreme: if I'm standing in the sunshine, I can get overheated in 2 minutes, if I stay in the shadow for 2 minutes I can get freezed or something. Rain is the worst enemy in this case too, this should get a balance in my opinion. There is base building too in the, which for me is really weird not quite understand it, but it's cool things to see for sure. So, Zibbs has an okay start, and if the developre works on the problems mentioned above, also expand the universe, makes the forest full with life, maybe add a questes / story in the game, then this could be a really fun survival game. I definetly see some options in it. You can try it out right now in my opinion, but if you don't want to buy an Early Access game with lack of game type, then it's understandable, but definetly worth to keep on eye on it!

The Good: looks nice, a more entertaining take on the "all your bars are always depleting" sort of survival game premise than many, humorous interactions with the very few npcs, nighttime light source is just your own glowing skin, some genuine laugh out loud moments from the stretching abilities and physics. The Bad: can't fight back when attacked, can't gather materials from the environment, can't shelter from weather conditions, can't use most of your abilities more than a few times before running out of energy, energy doesn't replenish so you have to take a nap every couple of minutes, opaque gathering and crafting system has no relation to the environment explored, standard "all your bars are always depleting" approach, starve to death in a couple minutes, very limited environment, rain kills you, sunlight kills you, using any of your stretching abilities kills you, rare materials gathered disappear from inventory randomly. Overall, it probably depends if you like those ark-rust-valheim kinds of meter watching games or not. Personally, I'm a bit tired of them, but the alien that just crash-landed is a more entertaining premise for one than most, and the ability to stretch and ragdoll your guy around the map is pretty funny, but they kind of ruin it by only giving you enough energy to do it once or twice and killing you when you land. Where it really falls apart is in the terrible gathering mechanics. There's no noticeable correlation between the game environment and materials to be found there, and the gathering system for both food and building materials consists of waiting for glowing orbs to appear and then running to them before they disappear. You don't get wood from branches or rocks from rocks or the like, simply glowing orbs that sometimes appear and need to be chased. Whether and where they appear is anybody's guess, and meanwhile you'll walk through miles of grass tree and boulder models without being able to interact with anything whatsoever. So essentially, it's a gathering game where you can't gather things, a starving game where there's no food to find, and a shelter-and-survive game where there's no shelter to seek. Good idea executed terribly. It was worth the three bucks I spent on it just to wander around as an interesting character model, but without some infinite resources cheats or a serious gathering overhaul it's just a game where you watch a little green alien wander around chasing glowing orbs and slowly dying.
The price isn't the issue. i Love the skill leveling and how simple and funny the game is. My issue is i cant get past the beginning. I cant meditate and cant get resources either so progress is stopped early on. if you tweak it so that meditation works or take it out of the game it could make this a whole alot better.i will change my review after i can play more.
Gameplay - 6/10 Story - 1/10 World Design - 5/10 Repay Value - 3/10 Art Design 4/10 ---------- Synopsis: You are an alien that has crashed in the mountains. Your ship is trashed and your end-goal is to get the resources to rebuild it. ---------- Cons: The graphics are quite limited and there is no background music to take the edge off. The first few hours are about feeling your way out and trying to figure out how to do thing. The tutorial is near non-existent as it wants you to go to a secondary site. So you will largely be playing blind. You may be wondering for hours just trying to find the resources to stabilize yourself in the beginning. The ending is rather unremarkable, basically once you have the resources and feel like applying them your ship takes off and that's that. Yay, you are winner. End game. ------------ Pros: The above cons become strength - this is one of those games that really roughs it out, but once everything clicks overcoming that phase becomes very rewarding. The lack of background music makes the low bird whistles in the background and rustling trees come alive - really emphasizing the notion you are caught in the mountains somewhere. Getting powers makes things quite fun once you get to that point - in particular possessing humans - though be warned this is the sort of possession where you are projecting from your own body and so it is prone while you are piloting the humans. You can also clone humans basically just to use as hosts once you get settled. ------------ Advice: AVOID SHADOW - your alien is not used to Earth's environment, too hot or too cold and you will get hurt - not enough to kill you, but so weak a passing angry picnicer can kill you by shoving you slightly. Be mindful of time of day and altitude - mountains for example may have resources or allow you to get a better view, but they are only save during mid-day at night they are freezing and in the afternoon they are boiling. Try not to draw attention to yourself - at least not until you have powers and an arsenal. Even at max "infamy" I guess you'd call it you can take on the military/ attack helicopters but it takes FOREVER for your "infamy' to go down, so you'll need to camp out to get things back down to 'Leave me alone' level. Whatever direction you head in, keep track of where your ship is so you can map out in your head how to get back and explore other areas. Finding Resources is the biggest hurdle at first, where you land at each new game is totally random, and what resources are there or how far way are completely random. -------- Overall I highly recommend Zibbs - Alien Survival. It's very slow and frustrating at first, but that makes overcoming it all the more rewarding. It's fairly cheap and obviously was made by someone low on resources but high on vision. Very much the small game that can go beyond it's limits for engagement.
