Zen Chess: Champion's Moves

Put yourself in the shoes of the great chess players and make those same last moves that were decisive for the victory of the game. It is a very interesting experience, even more you try to compare it with the move you would try to make in that situation. It helps to improve your game decisions.

Played on Steam Deck. Not recommended. This isn't chess puzzles like the other Zen Chess games, but just recreating the final moves of previously played GM matches. It's random too, sometimes you have two moves and will actually play checkmate because that's what happened in the match, but most of the time it is last 1-10 moves before a resignation, and even the resignation happens several moves out from checkmate and you don't even get to play it out. I play 4 moves to see the stage complete with the message "Bent Larsen resigns (Mate in 6 moves) or play 1 move and see "Pal Petran resigns (Mate in 8 moves)".... There are even two stages with some unnecessary moves thrown in probably just because that's how the match played out in real life, is this supposed to be like a walk down memory lane or something?

Nice game. 150 levels, 4 hours to complete. Be aware of an error in level 47. If you are stuck, and given that these are historical games you can look for the full game transcriptions in internet.

Puzzle 47 has an error with an illegal move. I think I've noticed errors in the puzzles before also.

I found the game fun, for those who like to study chess it will certainly be a delicious game it shows some classic chess games and you will have to discover how the master champion of that game managed to win, they are complex and interesting problems.

Zagadki szachowe (150/150) ukończone w 6h czasu przeznaczonego na grę i naliczonego przez Steam. Optymalizacja gry na tragicznym poziomie. Brak możliwości kontynuacji posunięć do ostatecznego mata. 99% zagadek polega na odgadnięciu paru lub kilku pierwszych ruchów, następnie gracz dostaje informacje o macie na przykład w 5 lub 10 następnych ruchach co jest absurdem. Jedynym plusem jako ciekawostką jest informacja o dacie i miejscu rozegranych partii przez arcymistrzów. Nadal brak jakichkolwiek grywalnych szachów lub taktyk szachowych na Steam. Osiągnięcia Steam: 15/15 [100%] Ocena: 1/10

Не все примеры правильные, некоторые просто с ошибками (и разработчики не торопятся выпускать исправляющее обновление), но почти везде игра очень хороша своими заковыристыми матовыми комбинациями. Купить из России вы этот продукт в ближайшее время конечно не сможете, но авторов игры я положительным отзывом поддержу.
