as someone who has been playing chess for a long time I found it difficult to play in my head until this game helped me practice thnx for game
Been playing this all night. So satisfying and calming and peaceful whilst also so challenging. Highly recommend. Worth multiple x of the asking price. If you’re seeing this, definitely give it a shot. Such a pleasant experience. Lots of satisfaction being keyboard driven, the music is perfect and atmospheric. Can really tell this was a labor of love and shows. No bugs at all, and can already tell it’s helping with my visualization. For fans of chess, relaxing, keyboard shortcuts and old school nostalgia too.
Very useful for chess enthusiasts, Nice simple but clean UI and sound effects, love the zen ambient music which is perfect for helping to focus. But could still use a fair bit of polish. Currently there's a coordinate trainer (click squares on the board as coordinates show on screen), square colour training (coordinates show on screen, click if they're a light or dark square), Knight's Tour (type the moves that would be required to move a knight from one coordinate to another, sometimes you have type for a bishop), AI battle (Easy Med Hard difficulties against stockfish engine, you can reveal the board up to 3 times in a game and save a log of moves for the game), Online Battle. (unfortunately I have yet to see another person with a room, checking steamcharts shows the peak playercount at 2) The menu screen that shows up on esc should have a "return to home screen" option. This option is at the bottom right of the screen, but it would be nice if it was in the menu as well as I've sometimes quit the game without meaning to. Additionally Knight's Tour should give you the option to set if you want to include bishop training, or even have only bishop training. Also the AI Battle does not currently give you the option to start with black. Some other things that could be added are timer settings and score tracking, e.g. be able to choose 3 mins for coordinate training and your best score is recorded until you beat it + history of past improvements. Right now training options are just play as long as you want. Also a coordinate trainer where instead of clicking squares, you type in the coordinate position that shows up on the board, similar to what's on lichess. With Knight's Tour mode, a selectable option that forces you to find moves for the minimum amount required to move the knight/bishop from point a to point b. Also if you can set up a position on the board or import pgn to play from a custom position against AI.
So many good drills here. Even if you’re a beginner it’s easy to get into and actually fun to practice blindfold chess. The drills keep you hooked and you can feel yourself improving after just a few sessions. Honestly way better than I expected.
This game is really good to practice blind chess, it's not the best chess experience but it really help to learn so i nod to it.
I was thinking that im good at chess until i play this game... really improves the game sight and visual memory
A game based on blindfolded chess is a great idea! However, I encountered several issues during my brief play session. 1. The AI's "Easy" setting is too strong. (Considering that blindfolded chess already reduces performance, calling an AI with advanced-level skills "Easy" is inappropriate.) 2. The font causes confusion between "b" and "h". 3. The text displayed to the right of the Knight Tour mode is incorrect. For these reasons, I cannot recommend this game at this time (as of May 8, 2026).
