Killer Klownz is just another garbage asset-recycling game that should be free.
This is nothing but a point-and-shoot wave shooter that has 2 main assets at play: a scary clown character and a circus-like stage that isn't even believable. (It ends abruptly, showing the skybox for most of your view.) The clowns just pop into existence not too far from you. You don't have to worry about reloading or conserving ammo. You just point and shoot, and by shoot, I don't even mean pulling the trigger. You just hold the trigger indefinitely. There's really not much to do here. I got to a score of 660 and only died because a clown snuck up behind me. I was too bored to try again. Not challenging, not creative, not interesting in any way. For $2, this game is trash. Even if it was free, it would be trash. This game should never be sold. It's like something a college student would make to get a passing grade on an assignment. Don't waste your money. If you buy this game, keep in mind that Steam allows refunds as long as you don't play for more than 2 hours and you bought the game less than 2 weeks ago. Seeing as this game only lasts maybe 2-3 minutes before you've experienced everything it has to offer, you'll easily get your refund if you don't wait too long. As for me, I'm stuck with this game only because it was included in a bundle from a third party.
Warning: Asset Flip! Killer Klownz is a Digital Homicide style asset flip, or what Valve calls a "Fake Game". The "developer" paid for/pirated a few Unity asset store packs, dumped them all in a blender, and submitted it to Valve as if they're real game developers.
Two notable criteria for what makes an asset flip instead of legitimate use of stock assets are whether those assets comprise the majority of the game, and whether the "developer" properly credited the people who created most of the assets in the game. This game fails both of those tests. The "developers" here didn't credit any of the artists and real, actual game developers who created the assets here, so this is plagiarism, as well as cash grab shovelware. In this case, the asset flipper took some cheap assets from the Unity Asset store/stolen from around the internet and slapped them on a basic VR shooter template from Unity. Nothing in this game is truly the creation of the Russian asset flipper "developer" here... this is just another fake game designed to be shoved into game bundles for nasty key resellers, polluting Steam for the sake of a few roubles. It has no value or merit as a real game. My Way Games/Peter Labick have shown a repeat pattern of unethically dumping other people's work onto Steam as a cheap, nasty cash grab, through this account or through closely linked/alt accounts. Here's some examples so you can see for yourself:

"Miniballist" = Endless Turns developed by SGLib Games
"Extreme Racing On Highway" = Highway Racer developed by BoneCracker Games
"The Hunt in the Forest" = Advanced Sniper Starter Kit developed by Hardworker Studio
"Mine the Gold" = Gold Miner Century developed by SplayGame Official
"Muscle Car Robot" = Muscle Car Robot developed by GameNing
"Top Burger" = Top Burger Chef developed by KetchAp
"Dinosaur Bone Digging" = Dinosaur Bone Digging Games developed by Ardian Kaltara
"Trivia Night" = Trivia Quiz Game Template developed by Puppeteer
"CubeXL" = Switch The Gravity developed by App Advisory
"Space Force" = X-Racer developed by Deer Cat
Taking this shovelware seriously as if it was a genuine attempt to make a game, it doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. The game features lazy low-polygon "retro" assets, making this look like a barely functional 3D game from the mid 2000s. It's unclear why the developers weren't able to arrange high quality, high polygon count contemporary assets for the game, and also irrelevant... what matters is that this looks bad as a result of their decisions, a compromise PC gamers shouldn't have to put up with. This seems to have been made a VR exclusive to prevent any comparison with non-VR 3D games, a comparison that this game would fail very badly at. Developers must learn that while VR is great, if the only thing that makes the game great is the VR, then the game isn't great at all. These technical defects push this game below acceptable standards for any modern PC game. Reviewing SteamDB to check how popular this game was with players reveals a surprise... there's a very healthy spike in player counts for the game. But this only happened once, around the same time that trading cards were applied to the game... so this is just card idlers getting their cards and moving on. A closer look at the numbers shows the game just has a couple of players every week running up the game and idling it for cards, then deleting it. We must ask how it benefits gamers for there to be so many games like this, with no merit as a serious game, that only generate sales from people idling and selling the trading cards. It's also important to note the "developer" here has connections to a number of shady Russian asset flippers and review manipulators who show an organised pattern to scam and defraud gamers with fake reviews and asset flipping the work of others for profit. While reviews are about the games, gamers should be informed when developers act unethically. Whether these connections are the same developer using multiple accounts, or just working closely with other unethical developers, gamers should be warned about the harm to gamers by this developer and their associates. Buying games from unethical developers puts your money at risk.
Warning: Review Manipulation! This game features a number of fake positive reviews from accounts known to be in the business of review manipulation/paid reviews. They're all written in either Russian or broken English, appear at almost exactly the same time, very shortly after the game launched on Steam, all have a direct Steam purchase of the game, and the accounts are used consistently to write fake reviews for asset flips and other cash grabs/scams. The "Positive" review score on this game should be disregarded due to this blatant, unethical review manipulation. This is done to deceive and scam gamers into paying for a bad product.
So, should you buy this game? Is this one of the best of the 100,000+ games on Steam? Killer Klownz has the farcical price of $10 USD, for which you could easily get any number of older AAA games. Given the defects and quality issues with the game, coupled with the unrealistic price, and the questionable ethical nature of the developer and/or their associates (as outlined above), this is impossible to recommend. For comparison, the $10 asking price for this game could get you games like "Hearts of Iron IV", "Final Fantasy XIV Online" or "7 Days to Die". Quality, professionally made games like those are frequently on sale cheaper than this.
The price is very low, but the game is so basic than could be sold just as asset for learn how to use Unity for newbies.
This is a SCAM. Don't buy it. It's another of the russian scams in VR.
This game actually taught me a valuable lesson! Not everything is fun just because it's in VR... I don't have any free experiences that comes close to how quickly this became boring, so go buy a coffee instead of this.
In Killer Klownz you stand in one central spot and shoot an endless number of incoming clowns coming from multiple directions. You have two infinitely firing assualt rifles to defend yourself and the goal is to take out as many clowns as possible before you die, raising your score. In the 5 minutes of play-time needed to review this game, I achieved a high score of 800. Now for my opinion of the game. This game seems nothing more than a lazy cash grab or a learning dev trying to charge for a test level they made within a matter of minutes. The game is boring and has absolutely no reason for you to ever come back to it, let alone play it for more than 5 minutes, so I guess the fact that you'd almost never play it for more than 2 hours means you could try out the game, see how you feel about it for yourself and then refund it. There is only one map - a boring platform with a few circus props in it. The map itself isnt even made properly as you can see the enemies spawn right in front of you, they often fall through the floor and even more commonly get stuck on the props in the level as their path finding is terrible. There is only one set of weapons - two cartoonish looking 'AK-47esque' rifles that have infinite ammo and no reloading. The fact that there's no worry about ever needing to conserve ammo begs the question why the developer even has you holding the triggers to fire. There's no penaulty for it, so you may as well have the rifles fire by default - there's so many incoming enemies that you'll always be shooting regardless. There is only one enemy - the clowns (or creatively named 'Klownz') are boring bullet sponges that are no doubt just used to play off some people's fear of clowns to make this a 'spooky' game. The only varient to the enemies is their height and amount of bullets they sponge up before they die. There's no waves in this game, just a boring endless onslaught of these pathetic assets that just make you wonder why this was even allowed on Steam in the first place. And finally, there is only one goal - kill clowns. Thats it. I hope you enjoy holding down the trigger button and questioning your existence, because if so, this game is for you. There's no fun in this game at all. There's not even power-ups or slow mo, something that games back in the birth of videogames had going over this game. I started this review by giving the base facts of the game. That alone should have been enough to tell you to give this one a miss, but if for some reason you've read that and all my negative points (I can not for the life of me think of a single positive one, I promise) then consider this: this game charges you for an experience that you'll be done with in a matter of minutes. Currently on the VR category of the Steam page, there are a large number of free games that are multiple times better than this game is and will give you far better satisfaction than this. Try one of those instead.
