YoloX - Crosshair Overlay, developed and published by Dragonrise Games, is one of those Steam utilities that immediately communicates its purpose through its title. At first glance, it appears to be a simple tool designed to place a custom reticle over games that either lack one or provide limited customization. However, a closer look reveals a surprisingly robust application aimed at competitive players, accessibility-minded users, and anyone who enjoys tailoring every aspect of their gaming experience. Rather than functioning as a conventional game, YoloX serves as an enhancement layer that integrates with a player's library of shooters and action titles, providing a level of personalization that many native game settings cannot match. The software's biggest strength lies in its flexibility. Users are given access to an extensive editor that supports multiple layers, custom images, shapes, animations, and visual effects. Whether someone wants a tiny precision dot for tactical shooters or an elaborate animated reticle that reacts to gameplay inputs, YoloX accommodates both extremes. The inclusion of profile support is especially useful for players who regularly switch between games with vastly different mechanics. A profile tailored for a battle royale can be swapped instantly for one designed around arena shooters or survival games, making the utility feel less like a static overlay and more like a companion application that evolves alongside a player's habits. Dragonrise Games has also invested considerable effort into ensuring the software remains visible and functional under a wide variety of conditions. Dynamic color adaptation allows crosshairs to remain noticeable regardless of whether players are staring into dark interiors or brightly lit environments. Fullscreen compatibility is another welcome addition, as many overlays struggle when interacting with modern games running in exclusive display modes. Combined with lightweight system requirements and an emphasis on anti-cheat-friendly implementation, YoloX positions itself as a practical tool rather than a risky modification. Its integration approach suggests a conscious effort to avoid interfering with game processes while still providing meaningful functionality. Several of the more advanced features help distinguish YoloX from similar utilities. Audio-reactive elements, movement sensors, zoom functionality, and animated states tied to actions such as jumping or firing introduce a playful side to the application. These additions may not be essential for every user, but they demonstrate an ambition that goes beyond merely drawing a crosshair in the center of the screen. Controller support and customizable hotkeys further enhance usability, while community-created presets offer an easy starting point for users who prefer downloading designs over building their own from scratch. Despite its impressive feature list, YoloX is not entirely without drawbacks. The sheer number of customization options may feel overwhelming to newcomers, particularly those who simply want a basic aiming aid and have little interest in creating layered animations. Since the software operates externally, its capabilities remain limited to what an overlay can realistically achieve. It cannot adapt perfectly to every game mechanic, and users should remain mindful of individual multiplayer policies even if the application's design prioritizes compatibility. Additionally, some of the more experimental features may feel unnecessary to players seeking a clean, competitive experience. Nevertheless, YoloX - Crosshair Overlay succeeds in transforming a niche concept into a comprehensive package. It offers accessibility, convenience, and a remarkable amount of creative freedom while maintaining a minimal performance footprint. Dragonrise Games has taken what could have been a simple utility and expanded it into an application that caters to both competitive players and customization enthusiasts. For anyone frustrated by limited in-game reticle options or looking to standardize their aiming experience across multiple titles, YoloX delivers substantial value in a compact package. Rating: 7/10
really recommend for making a crosshair that basically resembles your personality, the animation tools needs a lil of practice to get used to it (might feel overwhelming in the beginning), but once u get the hang of it u will really enjoy making a crosshair, the mods are active and always on the listening to making the user feedback a possibility ! i tried it for CS, and it works wonders (full screen mode works from the get go, no need to use the game bar overlay or anything), price to performance ratio is unbeatable !! really recommend !! 10/10

Need a feature that allows batch modification of offset positions across all layers and keyframes at once, which would make things much more convenient.

Changing my review to negative because for several months, there has been a bug that causes YoloX to constantly use a good amount of the CPU, even while running in the background and not actively in use. Just to be clear, I would rate it positively if not for that bug, and it seems to not affect most people. But I was using the program every single day before and now I've had to stop using it for months because I don't want my CPU to get fried when playing demanding games, or have it idle at 10°C higher than normal.
all these reviews are fake. Spyware and tries to steal information.
