Yogurt Commercial 3 is a perfect example of how you shouldn't judge a book by its cover. On the outside it appears to be a weak showing from the developer. Once you dive in, however, you find a surprisingly rich and detailed experience. There is an incredible amount to explore! This game has so many hidden story lines, and there's always something new to try. The freedom you're given to try any combination of actions leads to some hilarious moments, as the only limit is your imagination. This was one of our favorite games of 2021, and our only criticism is that there's no more! Needless to say, if/when Epic Banana releases new content, you'd better believe we'll be the first in line. 100% recommend this game to anyone looking for a lighthearted, VERY unique experience!

Growing up my house only had Macs, so there were almost no computer games. Also games cost money, and I didn't have money to buy games. There's a small sliver of freeware Mac games that are forever burned into the memory of my youth. Two of them are Yogurt Commercial 2 and A Day At Work from Epic Banana Games (a.k.a. the Foltz brothers). A Day At Work was a tiny little bottle game, built from a basic game-maker program, that aspired to be a very open sandbox. You could simply go to work, sit at a computer and earn your pay, or you could obtain a rocket launcher, blow open a bank vault and steal all the money, then kill everyone in town. It's exactly what you'd get if a 13-year-old, with no resources or experience, in the earliest days of the internet when helpful tutorials were hard to find, tried to make GTA3. It was charming and stupid and I spent way too long exploring every nook and cranny of it. And now, decades later, he made another game. Well, my purchase of Yogurt Commercial 3 is a thank you to the developer. Thanks for those silly freeware PowerPC games. But I'm happy to report that it's a fulfilling grown-up continuation of the same sandboxy gameplay. Like the original engine from which the OG games were made, there's a real vibe of "set up the rules for how objects interact and then let it rip." You can "break" the game in all kinds of interesting ways, some of which it's not clear were intended, others which are devilishly clever and mandatory to progress. And just like the original games, it's a small and focused experience that you restart again and again, so you can be as absolutely chaotic as you please. Yogurt Commercial 3 is a return to form for Epic Banana Games and an entry that does the series proud. Is it worth your time and money if you've never played the awkward tile-based real-time platformer-shooter Extreme Prejudice? Honestly, I can't fairly judge that. But very possibly! If you like charming indie stuff with all of its quirkiness, then you could do much worse. Thanks Ryan, for making my teens a little less boring. I wish you guys all the best. - Mr. Wallet

A fantastically creative game with an unusually twisted sense of humor.

Yogurt Commercial 3 is truly a hidden gem. It's criminal that it has had so little attention. It's hilarious. I couldn't stop playing until I finished it. I recommend it even at full price.
