Ynglet: Prologue presents the first levels of my new game Ynglet! You’ll jump between bubbles that float in the sky like you’re a space dolphin, as you melt into a highly reactive and dynamic soundtrack created by Ynglet’s custom (and needlessly complicated) music software!
Revenue comes from in-game items and microtransactions, which our price-based model doesn't estimate. Copies below reflect the player base, not paid sales.

About
Ynglet: Prologue is a short and sweet introduction - a prologue if you will - to the upcoming game, Ynglet by Nifflas!
A Floating non Platformer
Absolutely no platforms (which is really unusual for a platformer)!
Fluid Difficulty
Find the level of challenge that suits you with granular difficulty settings. The ability to set quick respawn points at any time means repeating frustrating sections is never required.
Feel Good
Dash into walls that reflect you. It feels really good and looks awesome!
Did I mention there are no platforms?
Reactive Soundscape
A highly reactive and dynamic soundtrack thanks to Ynglet's custom and needlessly complicated music software.
Doodles for days
The hand-drawn art style takes a fresh ‘illustrated’ approach, reminiscent of expressive doodles come to life. There’s lots of unusual creatures doing their own thing, making the world feel alive.
I have made a lot of other games before like Knytt, Uurnog, and Affordable Space Adventures but I really hope you will like this game too!" / Nifflas

Very nice, relaxing and kind of intriguing experience. A new and fresh idea for the "platforming" world. Great art style and music, the controls are smooth and the checkpoint idea is on point, enjoy !
It may just be me, or maybe my dodgy AF controller, but the controls felt unresponsive and imprecise (particularly the dash). The experience of playing it was fine, but didn't really stir an emotions.

I found this game really fun. The music fits well into the game and it flows so nicely. My main issue with it was that it was so short (because it's the demo). The game is just so surreal and just feels so nice to play at first I almost did not try it because it was not on keyboard but the game would not feel right if it was. I would recommend playing the demo of this if you have like 30 minutes. (I am thinking of picking up the full game)
"Ynglet: Prologue" is not a game. It's an advertisement for a product called "Ynglet". Ynglet is erroneously described as a platformer, but it's a very mediocre hand drawn 2D "movement" game, not unlike Sparkle except without combat, with some puzzles, and an insult from the developer to all PC gamers as he demands you play his game with a console peasant's childrens toy gamepad instead of KB+M. But this isn't completely relevant because this is not Ynglet, it's just an advertisment for it, so it's not correct to try to review that completely distinct product. We must instead review this for what it is... an advertisement. If you enjoy advertisements, you can consume them for free on the web or on Youtube without needing to add them to your game library, download them, and then launch the advertising. It's impossible in a general sense to recommend people should do that over playing real, full games on Steam, and that applies here with "Ynglet: Prologue" too. The purpose of this advertisement is to get you to fork over a whopping $8 USD for the full game, and I don't recommend you do that either. This is only free in the same way that adverts on Youtube and banner ads in your browser are. This is a game demo that's been dumped on Steam to advertise another Steam store page in the hopes of raking in some cash. Just because advertisements are free, doesn't mean they're worth your time. It's important to understand there's a formal process to create a demo/page for a game which hasn't been followed here: https://partner.steamgames.com/doc/store/application/demos While it might seem like an inocuous mistake, publishing demos and advertisements as if they are full games is misleading and in some ways harmful. This advertisement is taking up marketing space and visibility that would be better made available to a developer that's done the right thing and created a full game. Instead, that visibility is given over to a demo/advert that's been published incorrectly and is polluting the marketplace. It's unclear if this mistake was made through incompetence or a deliberate intent to mislead gamers. Often developers may choose to incorrectly publish demo/advertisements as separate games as a cheap way to bypass paying Valve for marketing presence on the Steam front page, which may seem clever to them, but it's harmful behaviour and it's not good for gamers. Even though this is "free", it failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 11 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. Advertisements and incorrectly published demos don't add +1 to your game collector count, they aren't full games. It's impossible for me to recommend this incorrectly published advertising spam to gamers, you deserve better than adverts.
Awesome little teaser for the main game, the art style and gravity platforming design is beyond fantastic, looking forward to playing the main game soon!
This prologue was a great taste of what this game will be, and it was so cool! I loved the soundscape and music of the game, and the puzzle elements were right up my alley. I definitely suggest giving this prologue a chance to capture your interest!
