Just as the tags suggest this is a walking + musical short experience. Its short enough that there is no reason to not enjoy it even though in the technical side it has weird timings for loading screens and some small visual bugs. Other than that this shows passion and dedication was put into the project and I cant exagerate how good the music was (which is clearly the main focus of the game). If you have some extra money or even a coupon give this game a try, get to relax for 20 minutes and hey, even add another completed game to your achivement hunting profile.
A short and sweet experience. The soundtrack as a musical is a very cool idea which i would love to see in a more ambitious project.

Would really prefer to give a neutral review, but: I appreciate the idea here, and it's not like conceptual interactive music games are new; some the medium's most iconic games i.e. Rez fall under that category. I just wish this was more polished (for instance, why is the bow and arrow so finicky to use?), expanded out, and didn't rely on those profoundly hideous low poly models from UnityStore practically every asset flip makes use of already; original music this competent deserves far more effort in the art department than what Yi and the Thousand Moons gives us.
i don't think i understood anything, but i did have a blast listening to the soundtrack
Yi and the Thousand Moons is a short 30 minute game, i was lucky enough to get a couple for it when leveling up my steam profile and im so so glad i did, because i absolutely adore this game so much, there are a couple of small visual bugs but that's it otherwise its perfect, the art is a little minimalistic but that just brings more attention to the amazing music and vocals which are absolutely stunning and amazing, i fell in love with the game and my only complaint is that it was so short and that theres so few other games by David Su because this game is amazing
