You will have to sacrifice others to stay alive. There is no other way.
Can you unravel all the secrets of this small world to save the Princess and discover what she hides?

One of the best this week in my library! Dude, just keep doing this ****! I like it, but there's still a lot of work ahead! Please add more content and features!
A very unusual concept. It’s somewhat reminiscent of Hand of Fate -- two genres combined into one, but instead of cards, it’s a board game, and instead of combat, there’s management. There’s also a bit of Mafia in it. Strange that the game got so little attention, it’s a nice indie for a couple of evenings.
A grim tabletop game about surviving by sacrificing others. Gripping.
I give this game 8.5/10 I know it's early access and all, but it has great potential. The concept itself is wonderful, and I could sense good lore for the game if it's executed correctly. However, the current weakness of the game is execution. The Good Part: - The soundtrack is nice and fits the game atmosphere. - The characters are nice and have the potential to be more than meets the eye (character lore-wise). - The gameplay has the potential to be a balance of skill + luck, unlike most board games where it's mostly luck with a sprinkle of skills. - The 'once per game' save file forces the player to be more careful. The Bad Part (In my opinion): - The mechanics and rules of the game aren't explained well enough despite there being a literal cabinet for the player to read the rules, which forces the player to keep losing until they understand how everything works. - The current state of the game is 75% Luck + 25% Skill. It's extremely difficult and requires a good amount of luck to beat the game without constantly loading the save file after each death. The game basically requires the perfect run to beat it without loading the save file. - The end screen during each death is non-skippable. - The cabinet rules section still shows the old rules (presumably from an older version to make it multiplayer or have the player as the accomplice) despite the old rules being inapplicable to the current gameplay in every single way. Heck, the cabinet for the old rules could've been used to explain the game mechanics better. That's a missed opportunity. I believe the game could benefit more from allowing the players to still use items and/or access the tile they're in after said player has already rolled their dice but hasn't moved yet. This way the player is allowed to pull off some smart outplay against the enemy if they got a bad roll. I don't want to touch on the story, since I believe that the devs already have plans for it and we will see it in future updates. Also, there's a little bug which I don't know is intentional or not, where the player can view the end screen from afar if they quickly press right-click on their mouse as the end screen is about to play. All in all, Yclept has good potential, it just needs better execution, that's all. If a game requires constant save and load at the start of the game to get the "right" luck to beat it and instantly have the player target the accomplice tiles that they already discovered from previous deaths, then in my opinion, that's a very poor game design for a game that branded itself as a resource management and puzzle game. However, if the devs intended for it to be somewhat luck-based, then that's understandable I suppose. I would love to see the game improve both story-wise and gameplay-wise. The potential is really there.
This game is challenging, strategic and very well fleshed out for an early access. The mechanics feel new, interesting and graphically pleasing. The overall vibe of Yclept is similar to games such as Inscryption and Is This Game Trying to Kill Me?. The game does take a few tries to learn with mechanics and how the board tiles function but it was a fun part of the game to figure out how the different tiles functioned alone and together. 10/10! The game in it's current state makes you beg for more, though sadly there is not much replayability after the "true ending" and having learned the secret tiles. It should still take a couple hours and supporting this project is a good investment
Extremely unique and interesting game that forces you to think. Deserves way more attention considering how good it is.
A multi-move? No, better than that!!!
All in all, game is great. Love the unique mechanics of switching from 3d to 2d being able to interact with the environment. Sometimes it can get frustrating but thats just because of my own ignorance, i feel like this game would benefit a difficulty maybe, where on the lower ones the king isnt as aggressive and less likely to move more tiles.
