Xpand Rally

Сейчас выглядит как машина времени прямиком в прошлое. Графика на уровне «ну, когда‑то это казалось крутым», управление туговатое - то руль не слушается, то машина едет как по маслу, будто забыла, что под колёсами гравий. Трассы есть разные, и поначалу даже интересно покорять подъёмы и виражи, но быстро надоедает из‑за однообразия и ощущения, что игра застряла в своём времени. Физика поведения авто скорее забавляет, чем впечатляет: то прыгнешь на кочке и улетишь в кусты, то вдруг решишь развернуться на месте без видимой причины. Да, для своего года это, может, и был шаг вперёд, но сегодня смотрится как музейный экспонат - любопытно глянуть, но играть всерьёз не тянет. И если этот обзор наберёт 50 лайков и 10 наград - куплю все дополнения и сыграю 100 часов. This game is very much a product of its time, the first signs, when you boot it up, being no widescreen support and jittery physics which are assume are caused by higher frame rate. Considering the game is 2 decades old, it didn't age that bad, the car damage model is good, it even has a driver injury indicator, something I have never seen in any other racing game, though it's mostly a gimmick that hardly works unless the driver dies. The career is repetitive and without a little cheat can get quite grindy, having to repeat races to be able to afford upgrads and/or new cars. Sure, the game might be eurojank but for 50 cents it's alright.

DO NOT BUY IT. This game doesn't work on modern computers.

Old-school rally game. Play only if bored with Dirt Rally 2, and need something simple. If you not, just skip it, it not worth much time as it has no controller support, and the keyboard is not precise enough.

[h1] [b] Too aged for prolonged enjoyment [/b] [/h1] [b] Xpand Rally [/b] is a rally game which, depending on your settings and playstyle, can be either an incredibly challenging game which later on becomes almost impossible to win later championships, or something more akin to an ice skate. There are two modes that you can pick from at the start of the game. Either Arcade or Simulation car handling. The former makes your car feel incredibly slippery resulting in you crashing rather often and the latter makes it feel incredibly frustrating on later races. I initially played on Simulation car handling and for the first three races it wasn't that bad. It was still challenging but you have a likely chance to win if you don't make mistakes, but afterwards even with upgrading your car you have to be absolutely perfect in your driving, make absolutely zero mistakes or you simply don't stand a chance. Meanwhile the Arcade car handling feels frustrating to drive with and you will bump into walls during a tight turn many times. As much as I dislike the design of this game it's still fun at least for the first three races. You could also cheat your amount of money, get the best car and upgrades and probably have fun, though that's not the intended experience so I never tried it. If you are going to buy this game then get it on sale when it's really cheap.

Does it hold up in 2026? I dont think so... But lets be real its a 20yr old game... But hate aside i like it. Its more on the arcady style and it has a good number of cars and a custom map editor. So its a nice expirience for a WRC/RALLY fan. Id say its worth it.. i cant see why some people hate it... (Skill issue i guess)

Its really not that bad, even if its like over 20 years old but the only problems are that the controls are a little clanky but you'll get used to it after a while of playing. A good thing is that drifting is SO easy you WILL feel like a professional after that first smooth drift around a hairpin. There is also cool little details such as animals crossing your road and people standing at the center of the road to take a pic then running off. If you have a newer device the resolution wont be big enough so there will be pillarboxes on thhe sides which could be annoying. But that opening soundtrack at the menu is SO good.

ITS Great rally game. its very old rally game but its good. If you are really into rally games then it is for you. I finished 2 times this game. This is not a average racing rally game here in this game you must be smart how you spend your money on upgrading a car. You can play same map for 1000 times and earn money and get new upgrades. You have many cars to try.
