Good Soup.

Great little game. This is my 2nd time beating it. Great for a 1 sit down play through. If you like retro Metroid this is a must play! Definitely recommend.

ОЦЕНКА: 2,5 / 5 Пёсий кал натуральный. Без красителей и ароматизаторов. Омерзительные станлок и отбрасывание вызывают жгучее желание размазать авторов сего творения по поверхности любой из четырёх планет, представленных в игре. Отвратительное управление на клавиатуре с кучей задействованных в процессе клавиш утомляют запястья ещё на первых же забегах. Абсолютно одинаковые боссы с едва меняющимися паттернами и огромной кучей здоровья вгоняют даже не в уныние, а в депрессию. В хороших платформерах шансов у босса ровно столько же, сколько у игрока (не без исключений, конечно). И замечательный тому пример - Shovel Knight. Плохой пример - Hollow Knight. Даже в абсолютно нечестной местами трилогии Ninja Gaiden здоровья у босса было ровно столько же, сколько у игрока. Но если ты не способен сделать интересный босс-файт, просто увеличь его HP раз эдак в 20-30. А если ты не можешь сделать интересных рядовых противников, то просто напихай их побольше, сделай постоянный респавн и преврати парочку из них в толстозадых мамонтов. За гигантскую бабочку с хаотичным перемещением вообще отдельная благодарочка обоим отцам данного разработчика. На начальных этапах данная тварь отбила весь позитив по отношению к этому поделию. P.S. Пол-балла сверху накинул лишь за прикольную механику с перемещениями между локациями на переднем плане и на заднем. Но эта механика точно не стоит того, чтобы жевать пёсий кал.

A short game i enjoyed very much on my 3DS. Don't expect too much and be prepared to use a guide to get the last upgrades and you'll have a fun time.

A nicely done bitesize metroidvania that you can complete in a couple of hours. It would be great to play a longer version to invest more time :D.

Nice short Metroidvania. Only issue I had was I had the only crash on the last boss when I was trying for a hitless fight. It crashed and then decided to just get it done THe game was a little hard to setup since the game works with keyboard/mouse or an Xbox 360 controller... I tried so many different ones but mine were all Xbox One or other brands. So you have to make sure you are not in full screen i.e. alt + enter. You have to make sure to go and use Steam Input and then in the options in the game bar dropdown and select something like controller settings and then select the top option for Xbox 360 controller. I had to do this since for some reason if I had only the keyboard and mouse all the controls stated Xbox controls. Other than that I would recommend this game if you want a nice short Metrodvania.

Una corta pero muy satisfactoria aventura espacial que bebe de Metroid y que cualquier fan de los metroidvanias puede disfrutar.

Xeodrifter fue un juego que conocí de pequeño en la demo de la Play Store de Ps4. Años después lo juegue y me lo piller en descuento en Steam. En mi opinión no vale su precio completo, hay juegos muchisimos mejores que este, más granders, y complejos a menor precio. El juego es simple, y calificarlo de un 9, 8 o incluso 7 me parece una barbaridad. Y compararlo con Metroid ya es un garrafal. Uno de los problemas que tiene es que no está muy actualizado, pues la velocidad del juego depende de la resolución de tu pantalla, así que cuidado, porque el juego no tiene ni limitador ni nada así. El juego es tan pequeño y simple que no llega a profundizar en algo muy innovador aunque puede llegar a tener algunas ideas que quizas son interesantes. Pero al final me deja un poco frio.

Poor saving systems can ruin games with this game being another example of that. But pairing that with literal oneshot mechanics, annoying enemies, spongey bosses and linear dead-end levels creates a uniquely frustrating experience. Enough so that i'm not even gonna sugarcoat the fact that i used cheat engine to beat this game. Making myself functionally invincible was the only way for me to get any form of enjoyment out of this game. In all fairness with this invincibilitiy i did enjoy some parts of the game, especially the traversal upgrades and movement mechanics. The game had some unique ideas like moving to and fro the background , which was pretty damn cool and used in some clever instances of level design. Unfortunately these levels were segmented into 4 seperate planets which made this metroidvania lack the interconnected world that defines MV's. At least the art was pretty cool although there's a lot of repition especially the bosses which are all recolours of the same model. Speaking of the model, the main character looks like an amogus (sus) but this game is from long before that. The music was fitting albeit uninspired and the story is pretty much nonexistant. At least it ran well and is cheap on sale so if you're either a massochist or know your way around cheat engine then you can consider this one. However in the default state without mods it's not a game worth playing even at such a low price.
