XENO WIPEOUT!

I mean, yeah, it's Ruindog. I have Ruindog before they got delisted. I got this to compare. The name and orange mascot has been scrubbed from the title screen, but otherwise it's just about one to one.

This is fantastic! Love 'survivor' games like Vampire Survivors, Halls of Torment, etc.? Here's one in Third person 3D. It's extremely accessible. Cool Scifi theme that feels like a little like Risk of Rain 2 with elements of Cuphead artwork. Great action. So I just started playing Xeno Wipeout today after looking over some old game demos I'd downloaded over the years to find something interesting to play last night. I found a demo for 'Ruindog Prologue', which I'd seen Splattercat showcase. I must have downloaded it over a year ago--dunno. But I loved that demo last night, and was dismayed to see that the full game was GONE. Apparently, Ruindog was delisted because of an issue with an editor. And then, after a little digging, I found that the devs re-branded the game as THIS. Got it on the Spring sale, and it's awesome! You don't have to grind and grind to upgrade your character before you can beat the first stage. As long as you're a moderately skilled gamer with an understanding of damage synergy in games like this, you'll beat the end boss most of the time. I've only scratched the surface of this game, but it looks like there's a good bit of build/loot potential. There are many different guns, a few characters, and the guns can be acquired over time by RNG with different quirk combos and additional quirks that can make them very interesting and something to work for. There are multiple game modes. So if you just want to do the classic survivor pattern and pick up XP orbs from dead critters while the timeline moves along to different events and bosses, choosing an upgrade every time you level up, you can. But there are also two other modes that involve earning coins and buying upgrades on purpose. Definitely worth getting. Fun, arcade action with a cool aesthetic. Highly recommend.

Rerelease of "Ruindog" due to publisher issues. Still a fun game to zone out on and play. Feels smooth and graphics/audio effects are nice.

It's mostly a numbers difficulty game, so you should know that going into it. That being said, there's enough depth to make it interesting. Couple of the foreign reviews were saying that the devs have pretty much abandoned it and it's a bit of a buggy mess, but I haven't really run into that. I got it on a 90% markdown, and it's probably not worth much more than the 3 bucks I paid for it. All in all, pretty good, just know what you're getting into before you buy.

When will developers realize that running backwards while shooting is not fun. And your enemy overwhelms you very fast cuz you dont have enuf dmg. It takes like 5 shots just to kill one and youve got 50 running after you plus they stack bosses on top of bosses. Anybody that likes this game either didn't play it or they are using cheats. Either way its a good thing this game was so cheap cuz its not worth it. ALSO EITHER STEAM OR THE DEVELOPERS ARE HIDING THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS.
