Crackpot outcast Edgar sets out to Boulzac to save his squash, and instead uncovers an unearthly secret at the heart of the city. A colourful, surreal and utterly bonkers point-and-click narrative adventure.

Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I'm writing this while farming the 500 squashes achievement. You can only grow 6 at a time, it takes 3 minutes real time plus you can't save your progress. Yeah it's that kind of achievement. If the developer's goal was to gather negative reviews I'm happy to oblige. The game is not even particularly enjoyable. It looks like a Point and click game, but it's not. No mouse control, barely any puzzles, items are just used automatically when you interact with a hotspot. Lots of backtracking thanks to the slow walking. There is no manual saving just one autosave. If you want to look how a game with similar parameters should be made look at Roki. The 500 squashes are just adding insult to injury.
7/10 Not great, but charming. Downvote because of the 'pumpkin' achievements. Why would you torture your customers like that?

While the humor is nice and the game is overall charming, there's barely any gameplay and just walking around the same locations over and over to find the next person you need to talk to becomes boring quite soon. From time to time, you get an item to use somewhere, but never on a level that it could be called an actual puzzle or riddle. Game's a bit too talky, too, so you start to just skip the texts at some point. Didn't hate it, but recommend? No.
Edit: Did finish the game and enjoyed most of it. Would have been better if the action sequences were skippable: Stealth sequence in middle of game, chasing sequence at end. Was enjoying it until the frustrating action sequence where you have to sneak up to someone who looks over every two seconds, causing you to restart. Devs really need to start listing this type of thing on the store page. Liked the crazy story and simple artwork, strange and funny dialogues. Losing count of how many 'point-and-click narrative adventure' games have unskippable action sequences that are not fun and prevent you from finishing the game. Just make them skippable, problem solved.

Morlan's shorts:

This is your typical, by now, "sideways" recommendation. If you're looking for a short movie-style, type of "adventure" game, reading a lot of dialogues, many of which don't make much sense or are useful/funny/informative in any way but are basically ramblings of a (weird)Edgar fella.. and also like not having to make an effort but just walk through a game (back and forth repetitively) to uncover the story.. Go for it!.. but at a great discount. There isn't much action (but in the last stage). There is just going to person A fetch/read/talk and return to person B. The art is lovely, the music is cute/uplifting and enjoyable. But those are the good parts. It doesn't justify the high price of 8 doubloons for 3+ hours of "gameplay" for what is basically a short film. Also, extra points reducted for some obsene achievements that would artificially prolong the game: Harvest 10/50/100/500 squashes?? You barely need 1 or 2 to progress the game and there is absolutely no reason to harvest anymore. This is just a ridiculous afterthought ..without any thought behind it. It would take a lot of hours to do that, by just clicking again and again at the squashes. More hours than to finish the game. Why do you do that? Just remove them and make it decent. It was fun, in a way, enjoyed many of it parts but I wouldn't recommend it as a game but as a short story, if you like all of the above. Don't waste more time reading lengthy reviews.. time is of the essence!
It's a cool one evening game experience. Not hard, not grinding. Just a fun story wrapped in some minimalistic gameplay. It's fun to read, get to know characters with minimal given details. Some personal dramas here and there. Just a glimpse of a life of some small famouse village that lost its glory. I love games like this, they expand your experience without demanding much in return.
Fun but frustrating ...
The story is basic and totally bonkers. Moving around with just basic keyboard (WASD) is so annoying. It might be better with a controller. One of the achievements is for harvesting 500 pumpkins !!! This is ridiculous as only 6 can be planted at one time so it takes several hours to complete. Has to be done in a single session. I had this running as I watched a couple of movies and sorted email otherwise it would have been a total time waster.
Short, sweet and will leave you wanting for more, just like a butternut squash pie.
