Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 11/day in the week to Aug 14 → 18.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 22 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,513 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Each DLC is estimated with the same model as a game, then summed — a modeled figure, not reported DLC sales.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 11: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

never buy this sorry excuse of a game
Teamsteuerung macht Spass, immer neue Fähigkeiten der Soldaten. Einfach gut.
the aliens in this game are basically Israel
This is such a fun game. At first I didn't think I would like it but now I can't stop playing!

Really enjoyed the gameplay. loved the alien tactics. wish there were some more to the main story line though. once the chosen dies the game is just straightlined.
things have changed a lot since 2014 in terms of what i consider acceptable from a tactics game. at a bare minimum i expect the UI to accurately reflect what will happen when I click a button, or offer confirmations for important, irreversible actions. i also expect that if you want your game to look nice, you first make it systemically robust and not obscure crucial information for the sake of aesthetics. there is a system in this game which tells you if a move will break cover, but it's not always accurate. even if no warnings are showing, it's possible that a move will clip the corner of a watched tile, or move into the LOS of an enemy which you don't know about and thus don't have warnings for. i can accept the reasoning behind the latter, but it's also not clear which tiles are in "fog of war" and which are just dark, so it's impossible to know where enemies could be. any move can result in breaking cover and you have no way of knowing, which could be intentional but just feels oppressive to me. the game is really 3d, with multiple height levels and detailed scenery, all of which can be used as cover or destroyed. there are also frequent bugs with this system as characters can noclip melee and shoot through walls as though they didn't exist. sometimes the visual placement of a character model implies something other than their actual cover / LOS status. shots that seem to clearly be possible are actually blocked, parsing which tiles will allow you to shoot an enemy is difficult, and knowing the chance of hitting from any given tile is impossible without committing to move there. I finally quit when a soldier running up onto a building was spotted by an enemy I had vision on and no warning that my move would break cover. Then a snake inside that building clipped its tongue through the wall and pulled her inside. the aliens then had perfect information on where my squad was and mostly killed me on their next turn. you can abuse some of these issues to your own benefit but it doesn't feel fair. it's always possible that i'm just bad, but when I break cover or lose a soldier it never feels like i made a tactical mistake. it just feels like ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.
