Solid
XCOM 2 is probably one of the best, if not THE best turn-based tactical strategy games out there. With a small bit of base building and more macro strategy elements mixed in there. You really do feel rewarded for learning more about the game, with each mission giving you something new to think about and a new way to take on missions. I do have my gripes, however. Some of the content does feel a little bit rushed, and there are a few bugs (do NOT alt-tab. The game is not friendly to it, and at one point it damn near burst my ear drums with static), however the game feels pretty well optimised and runs fantastically. There's enough enemy variety, map variation, mission differences, and XCOM operative class variety to keep you entertained throughout a run through, and the amount of replayability is amazing. If you've been thinking about getting XCOM 2 to try it out, then please do! Check out the mod market too, the amount of mods to customise your characters and the enemy makes each run feel very fresh. Overall, I'd really recommend XCOM 2 if you're looking to scratch a specific itch

The stealth mechanic is a great addition to the X-Com game. It still occasionally suffers from a hideous imbalance depending on whether you do or don't discover a pod of bad guys with your last move, but this does alleviate it. Great fun though.
From the masters of turn based games comes XCOM 2, hands down the best tactical turn based game ever made. Ignore the copy cats and play the original. Never stop playing it until you beat it in Commander Ironman. You *will* thank me later. Be well.
XCOM 2 isn't perfect, but coming back to it from XCOM EW made me remember how much I liked it. They took care to try and fix by far the worst issues with that game (overwatch spam creeping across the map, lest you bring the entire population of mars down on your head), and I think the story still holds as well. It's not like Chimera Squad, where they give aliens normal voices and act like they're misshapen normal dudes, it's still a serious enough operation with some interesting new enemies. Definetely prefer ethereals to avatars in design, wish we had ethereals too, but that's really nothing much as criticism goes. I find the game still has the classic XCOM reverse difficutly curve where things get significantly easier to the point of bordom in the middle, though I have beaten this like 10 times so that might be the probelm too. Used to play it on PS4, that port was completely borked and should never have been sold. Coming from EW and playing the remake-missions make me mark out shamelessly. The game's a great time, especially for the embarrasingly low price it gets sold for.
