There's something evil in the city tonight... Earth has been ravaged by human excess, petty conflict and alien invasion. The world's population has been herded into huge cities, the first of which was Mega Primus. 2084: A Utopia shattered, social collapse and civil unrest reigns in Mega Primus. Fiendish aliens terrorize the city.

Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

The best in the series.
Played it back in the 90s. Good times.
Combines tactical gameplay with real-time combat. Very good

The best DOS game ever.
My online play time represents maybe 0.1% of the actual time I spent on this game... Played it millions of hours before Steam even existed... Play it now on Linux on a native DosBox installation which works a lot better than through Proton. (Linux instructions: simply install your own DosBox, navigate to the installation folder and type $ dosbox - works perfectly). The best X-COM ever, still. The strategic vs tactical layer has always been good on most of the X-COM games, but in this game the strategic layer has so much more depth than all the rest, and the tactical layer even has a choice between real-time or turn-based, both giving a completely different style of playing. Choose whatever you like - complete different experience. Due to the game never being completely finished, there are several exploitable things and some bugs (that might or might not be fatal for your play through), but if you ignore them (just don't do them), this game is fantastic.
One of the best games in the Xcom universe that they never tried to replicate. This game was so much fun and took up so much of my youth and continues to take up peoples times today. I wish the OpenApoc was easier to install but its github looks complicated. Maybe oneday 2k will remake X-com Apoc into X-com 3 or maybe phoenix Point 2 and Phoenix Point 3 will follow the amazing paths.
Toxin Type C is still hard AF to get. Live captured a Megaspawn finally.
I shall never forget this wonderful game and the entire series. It is a unique, slow experience. Try it.
Interesting.
