About

Be on guard! Here lies a strange world where the soil empowers everything it touches, and corruption is just around the next bend.
Wyldernook is a champion-led card battler focused on mind games. Each player plans their turn in secret, then actions are revealed simultaneously. Predict your opponents' next move and you'll be unstoppable.
Reckless Gremlins, Trickster Fae, and Primordial Beings will bend others to your will…
Wyldernook applies the love of champion style deckbuilding and classic TCG tactics into a new style of simultaneous turn based gameplay. This allows you to take time honored card dynamics (plus a few new mechanics!) and apply them in entirely novel ways to dominate in singleplayer Duels, multiplayer Court PVP, or a Roguelike Campaign.
A major perk of Wyldernook’s gameplay style is that even with 4 players, simultaneous turns keeps the game flowing quickly. Wyldernook is completely free-to-play, with all major features available during Early Access.
You can earn cards from gameplay, along with free daily packs. Cards can also easily be forged directly from dust earned through gameplay and your collection will stay intact after Wyldernooks’ full release. Every card you forge or pull from packs can also be traded.
With eyes never meant for the sane, Serincenthe could see through every plan of her enemy…
The journey into the Wyldernook starts with defeating each of its 7 factions to unlock their starter decks, each consisting of a champion and 40 starter cards. Once you’ve amassed these initial 287 cards, your journey into a whole new world of deckbuilding opportunities will quickly reveal itself.
Luck may create opportunities, but consistent victory will come from stronger deckbuilding, correctly anticipating your opponent and creative mechanic iteration.
With the Eye, the other races finally stood a chance against the arch-witch…
Starting with a standard deck, you can upgrade to customize it with powerful relics as you explore the Wyldernook, defeating enemies left and right. Along your adventure, you'll be presented with moments of storytelling and role-playing. Will you choose a path of good or power?
They told the story of a world that was wyld…
Every card in your collection features handcrafted art and is its own unique entity. Games played, wins, losses, and unique stats related to the card itself are all tracked. As you play with them, cards become worn around the edges, a badge of honor for a favorite card. Winning games and defeating enemies in the campaign unlocks fun stickers you can place on cards for added customization. You can even sleeve your cards!
Your story begins here…

This game has so many cool features I have never seen in a digital TCG before. They make it almost like IRL cards with a lot of cool digital only features. Great campaign, Awesome art, wonderful music....man this is a TCG for the ages.
I fell in love with this game at first sight. Hope they better advertise it, finish all drawings and at that point it will be the great one!
Suffers from the usual CCG curse, just worse, since there arent ranks: As a new player, you will face players with perfectly refined decks full of epics and legendaries. Its as boring, as it is frustrating.

really enjoying the gameplay, love the way the UI looks. Devs did a great job, looking forward to more future updates as well.
Great community, love to play this after a hard day of work to wind down. Just so satisfying!
Really enjoyed the tutorials, and already find myself preferring one faction (the faeries one seems powerful). Hoping for good things in the future! Maybe even a draft mode if we're lucky?
Here's the short version: Wyldernook is the most excited I've been about a TCG in a long time & I think it has a very bright future ahead of it. The long version? Wyldernook is an online TCG (yes, *T*CG, you can trade between players) that has both a very strong foundation & very fun ideas. It has the color identities & concepts of a Commander/Loyalty (similar to MtG), has a fun single-player mode where you fight certain challenges + naturally increasing resource system (ie: Hearthstone), but also the collectible aspects & fun gameplay loops of many other modern TCGs. The mechanics are also interesting, & takes advantage of being an "online" TCG in ways that paper ones can't. By this, I don't mean "selecting random numbers", but the prediction-based actions. The concept of Initiative & the simultaneous play makes this game feel like nothing I've played on paper. The game is also generous to new players, not only giving a free pack per day, but the chance to earn crafting materials or straight-up cards when playing others! Additionally, Collectors also have a lot to enjoy here, with stickers, alternate artworks, showing fake "wear-n'-tear" on the cards, and stats of individual cards you own only being a slice of it. A couple rapid fire things that I'll mention that I like: -Color Identity/Mana Value are separate which encourages building interesting combinations. -Launching with so many different modes gives it a very long discovery period from the jump. -Takes advantage of the design space of being an Online TCG better than any others I've seen. -The Storybook artstyle & the distinct feel of each faction makes it a world I'm excited to learn more about. -Devs are very responsive, helpful, and always doing what they can to help the game grow. Bug patches are quick & attention to detail is high. -It ACTUALLY HAS TRADING in an online TCG, meaning it's so much more fun/easy to onboard your friends & build a collection with others online! There's even custom card modes, an active community for both Duel/Court (1v1 & 4P Free-for-all), and so much more I didn't mention here. Overall, if you consider yourself a fan of TCGs, or any sort of tabletop action, give this game a try. Like I said at the start, I think it has a bright future ahead of it, & I'm looking forward to where it goes.
Very solid start to a TCG. There are no other digital TCGs that I have played that have such a fantastic monetization (hope I am helping Kejami!) strategy where one can relatively easily play F2P, but if you wanna bling a deck out a bit, or rush some cards, you absolutely can, but every single card can be obtained within a reasonable amount of time as F22P. I am seriously hoping the time to complete sets remains about the same, so those who play very often or those who spend a little bit per expansion can obtain a playset/dust for what they want. The community is already incredible with many aiming to help guide the rest towards the meta, though it is still entirely the wild west, and with the restrictions (good thing) to deck building, there should be a ton of diversity regardless of meta, incredibly hyped to see this games future! 100% recommend joining the Discord!
excellent start. needs a bit of polish with a few small bugs but it's great so far. keep going!!
Wyldernook is a free-to-play digital collectible card game developed and published by Studio Kejami that blends tactical card battles with a whimsical fantasy setting inspired by folklore and fairy tales. Instead of relying solely on familiar mechanics found in many online card games, it introduces several unique systems that place greater emphasis on planning, prediction, and creative deck construction. The game also benefits from the experience of Ian Underwood, the original designer of Infinity Wars: Animated Trading Card Game, whose influence can be seen in the title's strategic focus and willingness to experiment with genre conventions. Combined with its illustrated storybook presentation and colorful cast of magical creatures, Wyldernook offers an inviting world that feels both charming and distinctive. The setting is one of the game's greatest strengths. Players are transported to a mystical land populated by witches, enchanted forests, mischievous faeries, living mushrooms, animal clans, and ancient treefolk, all woven together through a narrative presented as a beautifully illustrated storybook. Rather than existing as simple background decoration, the lore gives each faction and champion a stronger sense of identity, making battles feel like meaningful conflicts within an evolving fantasy world. The handcrafted art style reinforces this atmosphere, creating an experience that is approachable while still offering enough personality to stand apart from many darker or more traditional fantasy card games. Combat introduces mechanics designed to reward foresight instead of reaction. Every deck is built around a champion that always starts in the player's hand, allowing strategies to revolve around a dependable centerpiece rather than hoping to draw a key card at the right moment. Matches also feature simultaneous turns, meaning both players secretly plan their actions before everything resolves at once. This system creates constant mind games where anticipating an opponent's intentions becomes just as important as executing your own strategy. It removes long waiting periods between turns and keeps multiplayer battles moving at a brisk pace, even when multiple participants are involved. Wyldernook also offers a roguelike single-player campaign that expands the experience beyond competitive play. Players pursue the mysterious arch-witch Serincenthe while strengthening their deck with new cards, relics, and upgrades earned throughout each adventure. Along the journey, role-playing decisions allow players to shape their path by choosing between noble and selfish actions, adding replay value to every run. Randomized encounters and evolving deck-building opportunities ensure that each campaign feels different, making the solo mode more than just a tutorial for multiplayer and instead a rewarding experience in its own right. The progression system is refreshingly consumer-friendly for a free-to-play card game. Every card can be crafted directly through the collection interface using earned or premium currency, allowing players to target specific cards instead of relying entirely on random booster packs. This significantly reduces frustration and gives players greater control over building competitive decks. An additional highlight is the ability to trade cards with other players, making collecting feel more interactive. Individual cards even develop their own history by tracking statistics such as victories, defeats, and usage, while collectible stickers provide cosmetic customization that adds personality to each player's collection. Perhaps the most ambitious feature is the built-in card editor. Players are given tools to create entirely new cards using the game's mechanics and share them with friends for custom matches. This opens the door to community-created formats, experimental mechanics, and endless opportunities for creativity beyond the official content. If supported consistently throughout development, this editor could become one of Wyldernook's defining features and help build a dedicated player community that continually produces fresh content. As an Early Access title, the game remains a work in progress. Studio Kejami has been transparent about its plans to replace temporary sketch artwork with fully finished illustrations while continuing to expand the campaign, increase the card pool, and improve the creation tools. Importantly, player collections are expected to remain intact throughout development, allowing early adopters to invest their time without worrying about future progress resets. The developers also encourage community feedback, suggesting a collaborative approach to refining balance and introducing new features. Another appealing aspect is the studio's commitment to handcrafted content. The developers openly state that the artwork and music are created by human artists and that the project avoids AI-generated art and blockchain or NFT integrations. This philosophy complements the game's handcrafted aesthetic and demonstrates a clear artistic vision that values creativity over trend-driven technology. Wyldernook successfully combines strategic gameplay, imaginative world-building, and player-friendly progression into an experience that feels fresh within the digital card game genre. Its simultaneous-turn combat encourages thoughtful decision-making, the roguelike campaign provides satisfying solo content, and the generous crafting and trading systems make collecting far less restrictive than in many competing titles. While its Early Access status means additional content and visual polish are still on the way, the current foundation is already ambitious and engaging. With continued development and active community support, Wyldernook has the potential to establish itself as one of the more innovative digital trading card games available on Steam. Rating: 7/10
