I really wanted to love this game, but the aggressive monetization is ruining the experience. MyRISE locks far too many character cosmetics behind arbitrary walls, and the store offers are entirely inconsistent between players. On top of that, MyFACTION is oversaturated with Persona Cards that require either a massive financial investment or endless grinding. The marketing claim of "over 400 wrestlers" is incredibly misleading. The roster is padded out with an absurd number of duplicates: CM Punk: 10 versions Triple H: 7 versions John Cena / Undertaker / Seth Rollins: 6 versions each The Rock / Randy Orton / Shawn Michaels: 5 versions each Elite "Toy" Personas: 15 versions Instead of cluttering the character select screen with separate slots for the same person, these should simply be alternate attires under a single slot. It feels like a slap in the face when an update adds corporate executives like Strauss Zelnick instead of highly requested NXT talent, Legends, or WCW/WWF Attitude Era stars. Worse yet, this is a full-price game that still demands a paid pass to unlock content. To force microtransactions, the developers have actively nerfed community farming methods for both the pass and MyFACTION points. As a lifelong wrestling fan, it hurts to admit that this is likely my last WWE game. I don't want artificial time-wasters. I just want to take a custom superstar through MyRISE, jump into Universe Mode, and defend my title against the odds in handicap matches and 6-way Hell in a Cell matches. Until 2K backs away from these predatory tactics, I'm out.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 6: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Dreadful core structure of the game, locking models behind grind mechanics is lazy, iniquitous, and fundamentally a poor user experience all round. Not good enough from a supposedly professional company like 2K. They deserve to fail, and their products bomb, as they don't offer VFM
This years game is a nightmare with how bad the reversal system is and then you buy the DLC and its locked behind more stuff to do in game. Also seems like so many characters were ported over and not even work on, the ones they did work on aka main roster top characters look good but that's all. I paid for DLC so that I had it when starting not to work my way up to it. To many bugs. I tried refunding and they wouldn't refund me so now I'm stuck with pretty much a $100 brick. They need to get their crap together and stop scamming customers. This stuff of letting us buy the better editions and locking stuff still is absolutely ridiculous. I MISS WWE SMACKDOWN VS RAW they knew what the people wanted.

If you're buying this to simulate matches don't bother. The AI spams the same few carry moves over and over despite changing settings to prevent it. The camera will sometimes randomly follow someone up the ramp to the stage after elimination and just sit there unless you manually take control of it. Community creations menu is back to loading extremely slow and will make you start over on page 1 if you look up a creator. This game has so many steps in the wrong direction. They seem to fix problems with anything related to making more money but don't bother with any quality of life issues. Most expensive version of these games with the least amount of effort to solve any bugs.
If I didn't buy this from a Key, I would have refunded it. Exclusively bought this to port characters to the Console that I play when Im hanging out with friends, however they silently removed this feature this game, despite it being present in the previous edition. Also: Seriously, a battlepass? The game is already worth $70, it's just a rehash of the previous game with a few tiny adjustments, and you want me to buy a battlepass? The whole point of a battlepass is for long-term sustainability, which makes no sense when you release "new games" annually for the price tag of $70. Even opening the game I had a problem, because for whatever reason it said I needed six gigabites of video memory. Luckily, Im tech savvy, so I was able to patch it to bypass the game... but seriously, the game works fine, why make it so I straight up can't load up the game?
Stay away from this. Wish I could recommend this as it's still a WWE game and if you've played any SvR games or even PSX era wrestling games before you'll know just iconic they can get. Basic mechanics are still good, I loved the ragdoll physics, community creations are good, hell, I even like The Island. Unfortunately though, 2K26 here is also riddled with passes and microtransactions. If you want to unlock everything the game has to offer you are prompted to farm annoying MyFaction matches over and over. The catch? Game bugs and constant client crashes completely tank your progression. Did you just sweat through a daunting, 10-man elimination gauntlet match? Did you have to sit through reputation farming for The Island matches? If our client crashes, guess what, we don't give a ♥♥♥♥! TL;DR: mid game buried under a 0/10 business model, not worth paying full price for this. Save your human monies.
First and foremost, I LOVE the gameplay. I really can't knock the combat, physics, and all the crazy ♥♥♥♥ you can do in this game. Each time I load up a regular match with my favorite superstars I have a blast. I like the selection of superstars, and almost every bit of the gameplay. But that's really where the good assets of the game end. First of all, It's not cross compatible with other consoles, while those consoles are cross compatible within themselves. As much as this does blow, I can still have fun with the game. Not my biggest complaint, but I still think that a change needs to happen. This is where the game really starts to piss me off. This game is UNBELIEVABLY monetized and predatory. Granted, this applies with most if not all sports games nowadays but this is awful. It starts out as a $70 base-game purchase, not to mention the upgraded $130 edition you can buy. When you load into the game for the first time, the first thing that is shoved into your face is the Ringside pass. A $10 dollar charge on top of a $70-130 dollar game. Granted, the passes aren't seasonal so you can flip-flop between which ones you'd like to level up. That's the only possible positive to the Ringside pass. Not to mention the other DLCs you can buy, just to unlock a handful of superstars. And OF COURSE these superstars are the ones people want, like Kane, Stone Cold, etc. Not only that, but the VC. Oh my sweet Jesus I hate VC with a passion. It only exists to gouge people of their money. Not only that, but the amount of VC it costs to by a ruby card (roughly $30) that will likely be outshined by more expensive and rare cards to come in the future. Or, you can waste a ♥♥♥♥-load of time grinding MFP to get a single card ('03 Scott Steiner in my case) whose in a pack that is only around every now and then, and whose pack chances are bias to the first collection, slimming your already miniscule chances of getting that card. And once you do buy that pack, you're likely to get some bronze card you already have and have it be converted to a sixth of the MFP you bought that pack for. My point is, gameplay is awesome, MyFaction sucks ♥♥♥♥, and the predatory system it's set up on sucks harder. The Showcase has some pretty cool rewards, you can get some pretty sick arenas. I really don't care for The Island, or for MyRise, but that's just me. In conclusion, I really don't recommend this game. Most of the cool superstars are locked behind paywalls or impossible chances. 6/10 game at best, predatory, monetized, fun gameplay.
WWE ownership notwithstanding this is just straight up not a good game. I purchased the Monday Night War edition and so much content is locked behind a pass that I still have to grind for. I'll never buy another WWE 2k game, ever. WWE and TKO are administration bootlickers.
People keep saying that "the season pass is the only bad part" about this game but I don't think that's true at all. I think all of it is bad. For one, I don't think 2K makes good games, nor did they ever, and the only people who seem drawn to them particularly strongly are people without much going on upstairs. That is to say: 2K creates very shallow games as something of a matter of course, but the WWE games have always been significantly more interactive or engaging than, say, NBA ones. This is why I have a problem with WWE 2K now, as they're becoming more homogenized into the overall 2K dev cycle. More generic gameplay, on generic menus, and I don't think people really appreciate just how lazy that is. This is why I say that the specific type of 2K branded consumerism is for people that aren't very smart. If a video game has intrusive always-online demands, low textures, customization that frequently janks and shatters, and forces you to navigate copy-pasted menus that you see yearly; the season pass is the least of your concern. It doesn't matter if there's a season pass. You already spend $60+ annually, or biannually, to pay for the same menus, in the same engine, with the same features. You used to be able to walk around your locker room, you used to be able to engage with the game for something more than clicking through dialogue options. WWE 2K is now the world's most boring Visual Novel. The soundtracks have deteriorated further than gameplay has. Andrew WK? Is it 2001? Transplants, Powerman 5000, Turnstile, Linkin Park? Who the ♥♥♥♥ is this for? As a media company WWE never made content for adults, always cartoon wrestling for children, so this neurotic nostalgia baiting that panders to a section of 35 year olds whose daily role is that of a disappointing father, or creepy uncle, falls on deaf ears with me. The state of the game is bad through-and-through. Again; the season pass is the least of your concerns.
