es el peor juego que e jugado nide chiste puedo pasarlo es una porqueria
It's nice and relaxing to play. I don't know why you can't go past 1080p resolution. Be warned: There is no option to save in this game, so you will have to play it all in one shot. It is not long at all!
A very short, but interesting experience. The rooms' architercture was nice. It could improve with more "nostalgic" places, and importantly, with a complete lack of story, I feel like games such as these should have no story input at all. Let the player fill the details and ask questions if there are. Overall, liked.
I mean its a Good Game however there are some issues per se the mouse sensitivity is not changeable, but my biggest issue is I beat the game in 10 minutes, then I get hit with a text screen that just says "this will be continued in our next game" like??????? I understand the game is 3 dollars but i feel atleast an hour of playtime should be worth the price of 3 dollars even if its an hour of just nonstop repeating rooms I cant in good faith give this game a thumbs up due to the lack of playability with the time it takes to beat the game Im sorry please developer with your next game I hope it atleast gives an hour of playtime I will be buying the next game when it releases but until I see some changes in play time and hopefully the mouse sensitivity I will not remove my thumbs down sorry. if the next game is a major improvement I will come back and change my review instantly.
Beautiful and visually stunning, but short. Please present more of your work. I thoroughly enjoy exploring and desire for more.
Muy buen juego, hay salida ánimo, the cake is a lie.
This game is surprisingly good looking for how inexpensive it is and the sound design is nice too, not too heavy on the footsteps and heavy breathing like most other, similar titles. I've played a dozen other "liminal space" walking sims and this one takes the cake for realism. It really does look like it was filmed on a camera. I look forward to other projects from this dev. There are rather limited settings, the absolute darkness in places can take a minute to adjust to, and the inability to disable head bobbing really stinks as I can only play for a few minutes at a time without getting motion sick.
Dreampools isn't a long game or a huge world to explore
since apparently World Alone: Backstage is the upcoming next chapter
, but it captures the liminal experience well in the time you have with it. It's worth noting that the atmosphere here may be a little too subtle for some people when compared to a title like Pools with its huge, mind-boggling set pieces, but I think true liminal experiences often comprise "only just a little bit off" things - odd walls that seem to serve a unique purpose but hold nothing but emptiness between them, carpeted hallways with long swimming pools, and the absence of people highlighted by the environment are what Dreampools has to offer.
There is a moment at the end of the game that suggests that big set pieces will play a more prominent role or become more common in future chapters, as one of the final rooms is a large, multistory room with tons of (unopenable) doors. I look forward to seeing how the developer creates future liminal spaces.
In its current state, it lacks some important settings, like disabling headbob or adjusting mouse sensitivity, but at least the movement speed isn't too slow. What is too slow is opening doors (which calls to mind Resident Evil's suspenseful door cutscenes but doesn't seem entirely necessary for the vibe) and some of the cutscenes, which tend to have the protagonist move extremely slowly. There's also no save feature, which isn't a huge deal due to the game's short length, but if you get lost and need to take a break, prepare to watch the slow cutscenes again later.
