Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Aug 6 → 0.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Typical BigFish type HOG/HOP Puzzle game. The main game was pretty okay. The bonus chapter was short and contained repeat assets some of which didn't make much sense. Lazy. Not bad for a cozy afternoon. Some puzzles were a mess. Would recommend as a once through. Enjoy
Completely ridiculous. It's perfect.

PROS 🟢 Outstanding artwork elevates gameplay. 🟢 Logical in-context Hidden Object Puzzles (HOPs). 🟢 Tense, atmospheric music. 🟢 Stellar voice acting enlivens characters. 🟢 Captivating detective narrative. CONS 🔴 More violent than usual HOPs. 🔴 High cost for 2-3 hours of play, with bonus. 🔴 No post-game item collecting. REVIEW I was greatly impressed by the exceptional artwork and animations in the game. The game designers did an excellent job meticulously designing the HOPs to fit seamlessly into the game's context so that it doesn't break the flow. And the cutscene animations are very well crafted. The superb music and voice acting enhance the detective story's premise, keeping me engaged. Yet, I found the game delved into darker themes with its violence (PG-13), deviating from the relaxed nature of typical HOPs. The cost appears high, considering the game, including bonus content, concludes in 2.5 hours. Also, the inability to backtrack and collect items after finishing is disappointing. Despite these drawbacks, the game remains a commendable addition to the HOP genre, which I recommend. It gave me several hours of quality entertainment through a detective story enhanced by beautiful art and sound. GAME CONTENT: 1) Use of explicit or offensive language? No. 2) Depictions of sexual content or innuendo? No. 3) Portrayals of drug or alcohol use? No. 4) Depictions of violence, blood, or gore? No. 5) Representation of LGBTQ+ characters or themes? Yes. PG-13 rated violence. No gore or blood. 6) Depictions of racist or bigoted behavior? No. 7) References to real-world political or religious events or beliefs? No. 8) Instances of animal abuse or cruelty? No. 9) Depictions of domestic abuse or violence? No. 10) Use of supernatural or occult themes or imagery? No. 11) Use of magic themes or magical imagery? No. 12) Inclusion of jump scares or other frightening elements? Kind of/Not really. 13) Depictions of suicide or self-harm? No. 14) Mention of diseases or medical conditions? No. 15) Use of dolls or other toys in a potentially unsettling or creepy manner? No.
nice ;)
A nice enough game, worth if on sale
It's pretty good. I like that there are a lot of inventory items. It could use an option to go back and find any 'extra' items that you missed once you finish the game.
Ich finde das Spiel einfach toll, verschiedene Rätsel
Word of the Law: Death Mask Collector's Edition is a detective-themed hidden-object adventure developed and published by Do Games Limited. It combines a grim murder investigation with traditional point-and-click exploration, inventory puzzles, hidden-object sequences, and numerous mini-games. Although its underlying structure follows the familiar conventions of casual puzzle adventures, the disturbing subject matter gives it a darker personality. Instead of relying on supernatural creatures or fantasy threats, the game focuses on a serial killer whose victims are transformed into horrifying works of art, creating an unsettling foundation for the investigation. The story places the player in the role of an F.B.I.S.K. detective experienced in pursuing serial killers and handling dangerous criminal cases. Police officer Audrey Parker brings a particularly disturbing investigation to the detective's attention after several bodies are discovered covered in plaster and displayed like sculptures. The killer is not simply attempting to hide the victims but appears to be deliberately presenting the murders as artistic creations. This unusual method immediately gives the case a recognizable identity and provides the narrative with an appropriately sinister tone. The objective is to discover who is responsible, understand the motive behind the killings, and prevent another victim from becoming part of the murderer's collection. Suspicion soon falls on Chad Hill, a sculptor with a troubled history involving the destruction of his gallery by fire. What initially looks like a straightforward revenge story gradually develops into a broader conspiracy. The circumstances surrounding the gallery fire contain unanswered questions, while influential figures and local authorities appear determined to keep certain information hidden. This makes the investigation more interesting because the player is not merely chasing an obvious villain. Determining why Chad might want revenge becomes almost as important as establishing whether he is truly responsible for everything happening around the city. Gameplay follows a methodical cycle of investigating detailed locations, collecting useful objects, searching for clues, completing hidden-object scenes, and solving puzzles that open the way forward. Many obstacles require specific inventory items, encouraging careful examination of each environment. Objects that initially seem insignificant can later become important pieces of a solution. This creates the familiar satisfaction of gradually clearing an area as previously inaccessible mechanisms, doors, containers, and other obstacles become solvable. The hidden-object scenes complement the detective premise particularly well because searching cluttered environments naturally resembles examining a crime scene for evidence. These sections are accompanied by numerous mini-games and logic challenges that keep progression from becoming entirely dependent on finding objects. The individual puzzles are generally designed around accessibility rather than extreme complexity, making the game suitable for players who prefer relaxed problem solving. Experienced hidden-object enthusiasts may occasionally find some solutions predictable, but the variety helps maintain a comfortable rhythm throughout the investigation. Visually, Death Mask benefits from its detailed 2D presentation. Environments are filled with decorative objects, suspicious clues, mechanical devices, and atmospheric details that make exploration visually engaging. The hand-drawn aesthetic allows locations to feel dramatic without pursuing realism, which works especially well when depicting the killer's disturbing artistic methods. The contrast between attractive scenery and gruesome subject matter gives the game an unusual atmosphere. Crime scenes can be unsettling without overwhelming the colorful, elaborate visual identity expected from the hidden-object genre. The narrative presentation is similarly focused on atmosphere rather than psychological realism. The concept of a murderer turning victims into sculptures is memorable, and the investigation's connection to corruption and concealed information adds another layer beyond the central killings. The story occasionally embraces the exaggerated coincidences and elaborate situations typical of puzzle adventures, so players looking for a realistic police procedural should adjust their expectations. This is ultimately an adventure mystery where detective work serves as the narrative framework for puzzles rather than a detailed simulation of forensic investigation. The Collector's Edition adds meaningful material beyond the primary storyline. A bonus chapter introduces another investigation involving the kidnapping of the governor, providing additional gameplay after the central case reaches its conclusion. Collectible objects are also scattered throughout the environments, encouraging players to inspect locations beyond what is strictly necessary for progression. Achievements provide further incentives for completing puzzles and exploring thoroughly, while supplementary concept artwork, wallpapers, and music offer additional value for players interested in the game's artistic production. One of the game's greatest strengths is its consistency. Exploration, hidden-object searches, inventory interactions, puzzles, and story developments are regularly alternated so that no individual mechanic dominates for too long. The progression is straightforward enough for newcomers while retaining enough variety for established fans of the genre. The detective setting also gives each activity a clear narrative purpose. Searching a room feels more meaningful when the player is supposedly gathering evidence in a murder investigation rather than collecting arbitrary objects without context. Its weaknesses primarily come from the limitations of the traditional hidden-object formula. Players accustomed to modern detective games featuring extensive dialogue systems, open environments, evidence boards, interrogations, branching investigations, or player-driven deductions may find Death Mask comparatively restrictive. Solutions generally follow predetermined sequences, and investigation is tightly controlled by puzzle progression. The game asks the player to discover the correct interaction rather than independently construct theories about the crime. Consequently, the detective theme should not be mistaken for a deep investigative simulation. The pacing can also become repetitive during longer sessions because progression frequently depends on obtaining one object that unlocks another interaction, which then provides the next necessary item. This structure is common to the genre and can be satisfying when puzzles flow naturally, but occasionally it makes the environments feel designed around artificial barriers rather than believable locations. Fortunately, the changing scenery, continuing murder mystery, and assortment of mini-games provide enough variation to prevent the experience from becoming monotonous for its intended audience. Overall, Word of the Law: Death Mask Collector's Edition is a solid hidden-object mystery that uses an unusually macabre serial-killer premise to distinguish itself from lighter puzzle adventures. The story involving plaster-covered victims, a suspicious sculptor, the mysterious gallery fire, corruption, revenge, and concealed secrets gives players sufficient motivation to continue investigating. Its detailed artwork, varied puzzles, inventory-based exploration, collectibles, achievements, and additional bonus chapter create a reasonably complete package. Rating: 7/10
