I played the original Woodle Tree 2 a long time ago (apparently around 10 years ago) so I really wanted to revisit this deluxe version. I love it! Something about the Woodle series just feels very cozy to me. The characters are very happy and cute, the environments are pretty and expansive, and it is easy to get into whenever you want. The simple and colorful art style just really relaxes me and in turn makes me happy too :) There's honestly a lot of secrets and optional collectibles, which reward you if you collect enough (mainly the blue berries, I really suggest getting the triple jump and the every leaf strike creates a projectile powerup). The main objectives you have to collect are surrounded by different kinds of platforming challenges that require you to improve your skill with the character, and I had fun finally getting to different places that I was trying to find my way around. I'm sure that in a lot of places too, there were much more ways than one to get to the goal! I also really like the sleeping flower challenges. If the main game feels too light for you (even though there's a ton of fun places to platform), these will definitely put your skills to the test! They really remind me of those bonus levels in Mario Sunshine haha. If you want a happy looking, cute, and platforming centric open world game to play, definitely give this game a try!
