About
This is the older version of WolfQuest, also called WQ .27 and now called "Classic." The all-new version of the game, WOLFQUEST: ANNIVERSARY EDITION features bigger and better gameplay, huge new maps, more animals, and a sophisticated new eco-simulation of Yellowstone fauna. With your purchase, you'll get both the classic WolfQuest: Classic and WolfQuest: Anniversary Edition. You can make you purchase here or on the WolfQuest Anniversary Edition store page, you'll get both games either way. NOTE: The new game has higher hardware requirements, so please check those before purchasing.
NOTE: Multiplayer on WolfQuest 2.7 is shut down as of March 31, 2025. Single-player continues to work normally.
A wildlife simulation game about wolf ecology.
When the game begins, you are a two-year-old gray wolf born in the Northern Range of Yellowstone National Park. You learned the ways of the wolf in your birth pack. Now it's time for you to learn how to live on your own.Your quest begins on the slopes of Amethyst Mountain and eventually takes you across the Lamar Valley to Slough Creek. There, you and your mate will establish a territory and raise a litter of pups: training them, feeding them, defending them against predators, and finally taking them on a cross-country journey to a summer home. Ultimately, your success will depend on your ability to ensure the survival of your pack.

It's pretty good I like the puppies but I don't know how to name them.
surprisingly fun
The game is decent, although multiplayer is no longer available. Got it in a bundle with WQA, and I enjoyed how simple it is to play. Gameplay can get repetitive, as when you beat it once, you can only really play it again on a higher difficulty. The AI is bad, but I think that is part of the charm. You will spend plenty of time watching your mate get stuck on a tree, or run circles into a bush. Achievements are a grind, and you can not unlock the multiplayer ones anymore, so if you are trying to 100% them, I wouldn't pick it up. 7/10
overrated and repetitive all tough i love games about wolves think Okami ,this game is quit dull without purpose
Einfach nicht spielbar. Grafik veraltet, funktioniert nicht sauber und wird scheinbar nicht gewartet. Als Alternative lieber die neuere Edition holen.
It is a very fun and exciting game
Cute wolf game!! Finding a mate is fun and raising the pups are adorable. The game is fairly simple as well which makes the learning curve quite easy. It's also potato-PC friendly which is nice. However, since multiplayer is no longer playable and new accounts can't be registered due to the age of the game's code, you can only play singleplayer and can't earn achievements if you don't already have an account. Singleplayer is still fun, but I think new people looking to buy it should be aware that that's really your only option for gameplay. I highly recommend the updated version (WolfQuest: Anniversary Edition) over this one if you have the computer for it, as it has a much more fun gameplay loop (in my opinion), functioning multiplayer and achievements, better graphics, and an active community.
I installed this game for nostalgia after playing anniversary edition since it came out because I played classic when i was a kid before anniversary. Coming back to it, it is way simpler and easier to play than anniversary if you are looking to chill for a bit with easy controls rather than anniversary. The differences is that you need to skip time by sleeping and it doesnt move on by its own, predators walk back towards you during hunts, sleeping is not necessarily needed as it only time skips. Eating food puts health and stamina back up. Caring for pups and territory has less responsibility as well. If you want to play this for the memories and have a more relaxed version from anniversary I recommend it. Overall I have had fun coming back to it and it is very nostalgic and seeing what wolfquest has become since classic edition and following the journey in the making of anniversary edition. This version will always have a place in my heart. (only thing i dont like is how achievements do not come through on steam)
i dont like that the cant pick up food i like that they let us pick up pups dow
【第655篇评测】和第二代的野狼迷踪捆绑包一起买的,还可以,可玩性和画质的话肯定是比不上第二代了。不过作为起源作品还是挺不错的。小玩了一会儿,感觉还不错。
