Super polished teleport to different predefined areas shooter, has a great Asian pop culture feel to it. Just lacking content with only 2 maps and can get repetitive fast. With more content, this could be great but at the moment it's just another good wave shooter with super polished graphics and arcade gameplay. If you're into beating high scores like space pirate trainer then this could be for you, but if you're after story and differing gameplay then give this a miss. Recommended for high score hunters.
Pretty good game. Not much to it really, but lots of fun for a couple hours alone and longer with friends competing with each other. Good to see that it does get updates with new modes and features. Only took me an hour or so to be #1 on the Steam leaderboard for all three current modes. ;)
Woeful Woebots is a terrific VR arena shooter. The quality of the product is fantastic and it is extremely well priced at $10 Basically you are located out side the headquarters of the robotics corporation where the robots have all gone mad. They appear in waves and you need to shoot them western style with your futuristic revolvers before they shoot you. The arenas have floating targets scattered around and shooting one will teleport you to that destination. There are also some power-ups and bombs you can use to help. It's mostly about the high score leader boards and it's great fun to play. It offers four levels/arenas the only problem is the levels are hidden, meaning you need to select them from the start menu and this is not clear. It's very often overlooked to the point that I had written a review complaining about it having only one level. I checked the store page like I always do before posting it and saw it had 4? So I re-wrote the review saying it had 4 levels but it was a shame you had to fight to them and they weren't selectable. Then I read a few other reviews like I always do before posting it and saw another review by a person who said he played the first level to 34000 thinking that was it because another level never kicked in until he found them hidden in the start menu!?? So there we have it! Everything I wanted of the game but hidden in the start menu. It's a shame I didn't know this when I was making the video. So in summary this game is great quality and fantastic to play but you need to know about the hidden level selection if you want to get the most fun from it. It's also extremely well priced at $10.
VR | GTX 1060 Gameplay (With Commentary) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tuNqRT74zXY My Thoughts: For an early access game this has a lot of potential, however I would still like to see a lot more variety in levels, weapons and power-ups. You can watch the video above for my 1st impressions. Game Details: Your robot creations have turned against you! This wave shooter style game has great potential. Funky soundtrack is great, art style is great, grip mechanic for the guns works nicely, shoot to teleport is innovative and fun. Looking forward to seeing where this one goes...
This game has very good potential. I cannot recommend it at the $9.99 suggested price, however, I recommend it on sale at $4.99. It may be worth $9.99 in the future, but it isn't right now. There is only one map. There is only 1 type of gun. There are really only 3 enemy types (although there's like stronger versions of each one) which is basically regular soldier, sniper, and tank robot. I think there may be 7 or 8 teleportation targets that you can shoot to move away from heavy fire or to get the drop on enemies. There's several cover barriers and you can dodge bullets. This game has a lot of polish as the gunplay is very responsive and the shoot a target to teleport is very quick and strategic to do. However, you will get bored after about 20 minutes of playing. Going past waves just seem like more enemies versus new tactics or gameplay. This game needs to add a lot more maps, guns, and enemy types to really be worth the target price. I am only recommending this game if the dev keeps updating it. So basically buy this game if you like the idea and want to take a chance on the dev supporting this game to make it have value. Rate 5/10 very tepid recommendation at the moment, being hopeful that this game will be supported
It's great work done by one man, but unfortunately it's also the reason I don't recommend the game. I played it for 16 mins. and have already seen all it has to offer. €9,99 is just waaay to high for that amount of playtime. Next... the game was released... and then the guy clearly went off to do something else. The game has some clear usability issues that could have been discovered via player testing, and there are tons of ways the game could have small improvements.... but the developer is gone. It's a four level wave shooter, and the levels are ok. What breaks the game is a terrible reload mechanic. Throw away your gun and grab a new one... sounds good, but works terrible. It's almost like pressing the grip-buttons twice should do the job, but it does not really. The movement mechanic. is also terrible. It requires you to shoot at specific targets, and then moves to to that place. Sounds fine, but... Since the reloads are terrible, and you need ammo to move, this leads to problems. Also, sometimes in a gunfights you hit those targets and move when you did not intend to. Both could be fixed easily: Reloads could be done like EVERY ONE ELSE, by simply pointing the guns downward. It works, why do it different? Movement could then be switched to the grip buttons or something, which would fix the other problem. tl;dr; Great graphics, poor gameplay.
This game has potential but a few odd bits happening. As you enter the arena, turn left and shoot the target. Move over there and there is another target on the other side of the building - giving you a good shooting vantage point of that straight road. But you shoot it and it's like the bullet hits a wall in front of the target (there is nothing there). A robot came running around the corner and was standing in front of it shooting me but - again - I couldn't hit him. That sucked. I'm not sure if there is a way of reloading the guns but it appears to be you just drop the guns and then grab another from your hip. This would be better if you got to reload the gun. There is no multiplayer but this game could work really well with it. X amount of players start on the screen with x amount of health. Last man standing. This could be a fun game to play with friends. Whilst there are a few teething issues, this seems to be a good take on a wave game. I like that you can shoot targets to move around the map and that also stops from motion sickness. It also saves you standing in one place which is so boring nowadays. It's good that you can dodge bullets by ducking and weaving too. The price, as it stands is, okay. I didn't pay the full price (20% off) and - as it stands - I'm happy to keep this on my system and keep playing it to see what else they bring to it. I just hope that they do keep working on it.
