Fun indie game with resource management similar to Stronghold and a feel that evokes nostalgia from Warcraft 1 and 2. I recommend for RTS fans !
waste of your money dont buy it
"На этот раз нам попалась весьма веселая стратегия. Доступны 3 режима :миссии,битва(с ботами),и карточный эдитор. Красивая графика,приятная музыка,и звуки.Довольно сложные миссии. "
WizardCraft is a fantasy RTS. Essentially a pure ripoff of Warcraft: Orcs & Humans, only much worse, and with JRPG ripoff graphics. It's well known that RPG Maker games are the butt of jokes in the industry due to the deplorably bad quality of the game engine. Well, it's nice to know that WizardCraft took on the challenge and has an even worse engine, and even looks slightly worse than most RPG Maker games do. Also, resolution is locked and can't be changed, making some display elements like text completely unreadable with no way to fix it. Developers must pay attention to the minimum requirements for PC games, like graphics and control customisation. This looks worse than Warcraft does, and that came out in 1994, so there's really no excuses here. For some reason, the speed is dialled up to 11 so your units zip around like the out-of-wedlock kids of Quicksilver and The Flash. This does add some comedy. Sadly, it looks like some degree of thought and effort went into the tech trees and game design, but with such an awful visual presentation, whether that effort paid off or not isn't relevant. This looks worse than Warcraft does, and that came out in 1994, so there's really no excuses here. At least this isn't a retro pixel platformer, but developers must not resort to using pixel "art" to cover up for inadequacies in their development team. If they can't do the graphics, they shouldn't do the game.
Really neat little RTS! Other reviewers may be right in saying it should be early access but for a game by essentially a solo developer it plays really nicely! The bugs are very minor ones, it just lacks a bit of polish and the dev is still working on it. The gameplay feels balanced, there is just enough depth to the production chains for enjoyable town building but its never overwhelming. I like the way the peasants and production are automated, the systems behind that work really well. The day night cycle and weather effects are great! The combat is interesting to watch, though the pathfinding can be a bit rough, its not frustrating. A bit more control over the units might be good but not having to micromange the combat is a nice change. i.e AOE where you just select a load of archers and pick their targets one by one, i actually prefer not being able to do that and just sitting back and watching the carnage. Keep up the good work!
I'm not the biggest fan of RTS games but with this one I've had quite a lot of fun so far, but it has got a few problems holding it back. Pros: - Great artstyle that fits perfectly into the game - Loads to do, including a great map editor - Enemies are a great challenge - Makes you feel like a dictator, watching all your minions work for nothing Cons: - Kinda tricky figuring out how everything works, as there isn't a tutorial - Some slight bugs but nothing game-breaking - Maps seem a lil small, some bigger ones would really add to gameplay Overall I'd give it a 6/10 Really good little indie game, but just needs a bit more polish and some tutorials to make it a great game.
Game is terrible. - UI isn't scaling on different resolutions. When you play on 1280x720 or lower some UI elements will overlap. And bottom part of main menu won't be visible at all. - Optimization sucks very deeply. Barerly 300 units on screen and game slows down significently. What's more game takes huge amout of pc resources. - Badly balanced. Make mass dragons = win. Only counterplay against it is bigger mass of dragons. - Bad AI. You can win 1v3 against hardest enemy without loosing a single building without any trouble. Spider nests are bigger opponents than hardest AI. - Resource production is bugged. There were instances where buildings wasn't working even when they had needed resources and wasn't turned off. - Game copy is bugged. After adding game key to steam and downloading it for the first time I had already completed most of the game and already assigned some achievements.
