Ok, listen here ♥♥♥♥♥♥. How are you gonna make an incremental game where we cant max the prestige tree out? What absolute idiotic ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Have you never once played an incremental game in your life before making this? The whole point of incremental games is the completionist aspect of them. You've created a game where that's physically not possible. So on top of it taking ages to get anywhere, you have an upgrade system that cant be fully filled out. 2/10. Don't buy this.
Currently not worth the price. I completed the whole game in 30 minutes. The upgrade modifiers are completely wrong. For example, instead of movement speed being increased by 30%, its closer to 300%. I guess the dev was taking one of the reviews complaining about slow progress a little bit too seriously and then messed up all the math behind the upgrades. I don't even know what 90% of the upgrades did, because I could just spam buy them all anyway after like 2 minutes of play.
Very short, but pretty fun. Systems are not overcomplicated. There is an end to the game; I got there in 13 hours but about half of that was from leaving the game on overnight. The only criticism I have is the prestige point system - you end the game with 21 prestige points, but enough skill slots to spend about double that. Might as well let those continue to accumulate, even if just for fun.
Idle & Incremental Lovers recommends Wizard Gold: Enjoyable (mostly passive) idler. Optimize your wood collecting by progressively discovering a large variety of mechanics that keep the game fresh. End game feels way too long and needs a balance fix. + I wasn't expecting much, but was pleasingly surprised with how many wood collecting mechanics there are. Every now and then, you're provided with a "new way to play the game" that keeps it fresh and enjoyable. + Know what you're getting into! While you see a "collect wood with your mouse" feature in the trailer, this becomes quickly obsolete, and it's mainly a passive game (a good one!) with meaningful upgrades choices in order to optimize your harvest. + Light but pretty good quality environmental storytelling about greed. - Pacing is on the slow side, but OK for most of the game. Reaching the very end, though, feels lile a chore. It becomes a waiting game, you don't have much to do and progress very slowly with no new game mechanics for hours till the end. - Max prestige points is 7 points short of completing the full prestige skill tree, this is pretty frustrating. Given that the endgame is too long, it would probably be a good fix to allow full completion. ***How do you turn lead into gold? Start a war.*** Found this review helpful? Pretty decent game, took about 5 hours, probably could have been done sooner though. There are some parts where it seems to drag a little bit, but by that point you can afk for a couple mins and go do something else. The graphics and animations are nice as well. The weirdest part is when you finish the game it just stays on the screen, it doesn't have any type of credits and doesn't go back to the main menu, you just have to hit escape and quit out.
Cool little game. Has some balancing issues in the mid tier but solid for $5
This was hardly an incremental game... As soon as you get some decent upgrades and start to actually do prestige/resets, you have everything maxed and let the game run idle until it finishes in a few hours on its own. The game only facilitates like 3-5 prestige loops, depending on your patience, and you can only buy half the prestige tree. Most idle games are like $0.01-$0.10 per hour, this game was about a dollar an hour of game time, and half of that I just afked the game to the final achievements after the first 2-3 hours of play time. Better games and value out there.
Currently the game is way way too slow, maybe okay as an idle game but if you play it actively there is not much to do
