Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.29/day in the week to Sep 8 → 0.57/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
Slow-Burn Horror Hunt with Rough Edges
Witch Hunt is a slow, methodical horror hunting game that can be fun once you settle into its rhythm, but it definitely makes you work for that fun.
GOOD

Horror Hunting Simulator Vibe Calling this a horror hunting simulator is pretty accurate. You’re not sprinting from set piece to set piece of you’re tracking, listening, watching, and waiting, and that pacing actually fits the mood really well when it clicks.
Save System Keeps You On Edge Saving costs mana, which is both a blessing and a curse. It forces you to think carefully about when to lock in your progress, and that constant “do I save now or push farther?” tension keeps you on your toes.
Big Threats Feel Intimidating The main enemies, the wolf, the tree, and the witch are genuinely unsettling. Planning traps and trying to outsmart them adds a nice cat‑and‑mouse layer to the game.
Musket and Flintlock Reloading The old-school weapons are slow and clunky in a good way. Reloading a musket or flintlock mid-panic is weirdly satisfying and fits the tone of the hunt perfectly.

BAD

Cheap, Repetitive Regular Enemies Most of the basic enemies are only slightly scary and very cheap. Spiders are the worst offenders, they rush you, bite fast, and can kill you before you really have a chance to react. Once they’re on you, it’s hard to escape, and that gets old quickly.
Very Limited Enemy Variety Outside of the big threats, there really isn’t much variety. After a while, you’ve seen everything the game can throw at you, and it leans on the same few enemy types over and over.
Directional Clarity Is Lacking There isn’t a lot of guidance, so you’ll spend a lot of time wandering around unsure if you’re doing what the game actually wants. That can be good for atmosphere, but also frustrating when you just want some sense of direction.

Final Verdict
I’ll go easy on it because I got it for free, but even then, Witch Hunt is definitely a slow burn. It demands patience and tolerance for repetition, but once you get the hang of it, there *is* some fun to be had. It’s flawed, no question, yet if you’re into methodical horror and don’t mind rough edges, it can scratch a very specific itch.

Best game I have played in a while. Its small and has alot of little secrets hidden around that are easy to find if u dare to explore. It's not difficult once u get the hang of it and its a game that u can 100% with no guides as I have. Seriously fun and worth the small price tag for hours of satisfying achievement hunting and good game play. Highly recommend
Dev needs to make a follow up from it, played in 2026 and was still fun.
I keep coming back to this map because I enjoy its cold atmosphere. You get to run around on a moonlit night at a lake! You just have to keep going, keep searching. It's a game with long, quiet stretches, but there is always something to discover. You can tell from the number of hours I have spent in this game that I enjoyed spending time at this lake. Very spooky. Damp atmosphere. Little to no dialogue / reading. Walk, run, respond to the jump scares, enjoy the ambiance. That's all. Will play again for sure.
A deeply flawed game that I keep coming back to. Amazing atmosphere, a simple yet effective premise, and some beautifully haunting environments. There's a lot of attention to detail that does a good job of bringing this world to life. There's a lot of great stuff here which makes the flaws more frustrating. My main complaints would be the lack of enemy variety, the enemy models that feel like asset flips more often than not, some cheap deaths and how empty the village is (in a bad way. It feels incomplete. More NPC interactions and maybe some side quests would have been great). The premise is fantastic and for the most part it delivers. Going out, collecting gold for upgrades, hunting monsters often feels rewarding and there's just something about the way the world looks that's just perfect for the tone. The graphics aren't the best but that doesn't matter, the visuals are extremely effective (I love little things like seeing the cabin from a distance or seeing the fog rolling in) It has a very unique feel and I really love the bleak world this takes place in. The game does a good job of making you never feel safe. If one of my biggest complaints is that I just wanted more of it, that's a good problem to have. The dev has something special here. I know there's a spiritual sequel to this, but I'd love a proper sequel with the same setting, but with more to do. In any case it's a great horror hunting game worth playing.
I really tried to like this, and I was enjoying it at first, but this game just gets frustrating as hell as time goes on. And hunting the main enemies is a just a pain in the ass. This is really one of those games make you waste a lot of time in vain. It's not a bad game in theory, but it's way too frustrating for my taste.
Precisa de uma segunda parte. O jogo é incrível, roda perfeitamente e cada monstro que você enfrenta é diferente, com suas próprias habilidades. Este jogo é fantástico e muito divertido.
