If you like games like the Binding of Isaac, but with a lighter tone I would recommend picking this one up. It features a very cool mechanic of composing guns out of different pieces. For this price, definitely a steal.
Magicraft if it was made by a 10 year old.
Fun roguelike, great for picking up for short session. Works well on Steam Deck
So far its quite fun! Need more!
The little “hat paradox” — hat on the library floor when you teleport, but back on your head in the dungeon — really puts a smile on my face. The wizard’s hub tucked between the bookshelves is a great touch. 🎮 The Vibe: Think Magicraft or The Binding of Isaac, but much lighter. Perfect if you just want to unwind and relax after a long day. 🛠️ Minor QoL Feedback (Just personal nitpicks that don't impact the fun!): • Keybinds: Custom rebinding (like swapping WASD to arrows) would be a nice bonus, though the default layout is honestly perfectly fine. • Progression: It'd be awesome if the character's look evolved to match their growing power. • Menus: A “Return to Main Menu” button under ESC is just a preference, but it would make sense if the devs ever add multiple player profiles (e.g., three save slots) in the future. Verdict: A super cozy and relaxing roguelite. Highly recommend!
enjoying my time with it but gonna let it cook longer before i come back, probably not till 1.0. has good bones but needs some good QoL things to really make it spectacular. 1. spells that trigger after the initial spell shouldnt use mana until it is triggered. there are enough trigger effects with specific mechanisms that make them useless against a boss that i would rather have the main spell be able to be used more often without the massive mana penalty you get for having multiple spells atm 1.5. should be some way to manipulate mana usage in a run other than the mana regen item and selling scrolls (which honestly isnt very good right now). if there is something to help, i never found it in the 2 1/2 hours i played 2. there is no "compendium" kind of item, either a menu or in the hub area, that will tell you a list of items, spells, ect, in the game 3. there is some kind of synergy mechanic but no explanation on what it does, or how to use it 4. if you play on controller there is no reticle to judge where youre actually aiming, making it very difficult to use any spell that has any kind of precision 5. would be nice to have different base guns that either have different starting stats or have different effects that apply to all the spells used
fun game, tho 3 stages is too short, looking forward to new enemies/bosses! some suggestion: 1. probably add two difficulties for different players, the easy one have more heal and less punishment, while the hard one is become more challenge and can make more precise bullet-hell. 2. add a collection function where you can check all the spell/modifier you have collected in the run. 3. boss are too easy to kill once you get the combos, also their attack mode is bit boring, also can you give the defeat flashback a bit bgm?
The game is really fun for the 2 and a half hours of playtime it has to offer. Calling this Early Access is just a lame excuse for being nothing more than a Demo in reality. Seeing that the game is available for 5 months I doubt that anything notable is gonig to happen. If I'm wrong I'd rather buy the game again at a higher price than keeping it and hoping for something that might never happen.
