i love it so much
Since I am obsessed with speedrunning Bibi & Tina games I thought I'd speedrun this one as well since nobody seems to have done it before. Finishing the game took me 9 hours, planning the route for the speedrun lasted another 9 hours and the speedrun itself took more than 3.5 hours. It was a horrible experience.
PROS and CONS I made up while playing, BUGS I did encounter and if its worth the PRICE.

PROSIDE:
My main go are the graphics. I think for a 2017 game those are really awesome. The scenery is quiet enjoyable and the models are cute. Beside I like the free roam option and that you actually have to use it to continue with the story. You kinda can access a good amount of the map. The care system was made well. I like the idea that you need to take care of windstorm to achieve a better performance and that he will actually get tired from doing missions. Care is done easily and fast + you got different option so it's not annoying to me.
CONS:
Oh deer, what makes that game really suck is that all quests are repetitive. You will eighter have to chase-, deliver-, collect- or photograph something. It's the same quest just with a different item, location or/and background story. After the first chases I got quite mad because it's so funky. Only in some sections you actually able to catch the cow/horse and despite those sections, they will have the same speed as you do. Even if you sprint. At some point I hang into it but still, it was the most unfun quest every time (and sometimes you had to do this 3 times in a row). Beside I sometimes got stuck or turned around because of the weird collision some objects have. The story was okay but since you don't replay the movie I think the game could have got more new story elements like the "open house".
BUGS:
While playing I only got into 4 bugs. 1. While in free roam and accepting a blue mission, my game sometimes got frozen because I skipped the dialog- and started the mission to fast. (was the only annyoing one). 2. Somehow the orange search circles got stuck on the mindmap and wouldn't leave when the quest got finished. They would move with me and not stay in place rest of the game. Only did impact the game when you had to search a new orange area because it would overlap (fixed with a quick relog). 3. I managed to get into areas or over objects you shouldn't be able but thats probably because I tried to find breaks/shorts. Did not do any impact on the game and never got me real stuck (you are also able to reset windstorm). 4. My mouse would bug out a lot, I couldn't click continue or start a new quest. Pressing ESC or tap out and click into the game fixed it though. Was just annoying - not game breaking.
PRICE:
The price is okay. I had like 8.5 hours playtime for the full story and doing all achievements. Still I recommend to buy it on discount (or check out the remastered/new version of this game. I will play and also review it soon too). Although if you are a fan of the windstorm franchise I would give it a go.
These exploration/adventure horse games put a huge smile on my face. I really love the ones that focus more on exploration and story, rather than micromanaging a farm and racing. Don't get me wrong. I do enjoy the horse breeding, and grinding out all the cool colors for hours. There is just something about riding an open world map full of trails, forests, bridges, streams, fields, and collectibles that I find much more relaxing and satisfying. I don't feel like I've wasted time in these games, like I do in the grindfest of breeding, or pure racing games. I do have to play those too though, because...horses of course. I'll play anything with a horse in it. Having a nice looking horse model is pretty awesome too. The animations are great. Anyone who plays horse games knows how important the horse look, sound, movement, etc is. Since you're on it the entire game, looking at it, panning the camera around trying to see how it looks when it's walking, trotting, galloping. We all want it to look like a real horse, or at least close. Hair moving in the wind, character not stiff on the back, hands grabbing the reins, feet in position, all the details are important. Play it. The second one is good too.
I know that this game is inspired in a German TV show/movie. But I have the impression that story is very fast and the Mika is just a Barbie's German version or something, because she speaks with you in a certain way (little childish?) Well, the game is pretty, I like the colors. But I don't know why the colors change, it turned grey in certain parts of the map, kinda sad and awkward. Suddenly, I feel in a horror game. Plus, the soundtrack! it's kinda cute with classical music, however there's a song that it's very similar to "chase song" in Garten of Banban. Of course, the horse's movements! When we see from the normal camera looks normal. But if you turn the camera, looks like the horse has scoliosis. It's not natural at all! I feel that this game is more about "cross-country" courses than "show jumping". There's no "dressage" or some similar course that we always see in horse games. Honestly, I liked the game and I'm curious about the another one from Windstorm series. I'm a huge fan of horses games and I need to play to know if worth it based on reviews that I read.
game is super glithy had to put it on the lowest setting for everything. but in doing that, the game works. its super fun a lot of quests and cute little things like taking photos of wild life and horse care.
Well... This game looks beautiful. Especially the enviroment graphics are great. But that's basically all... It's similar story like the film - seems technically nice, but sucks. Definitely not worth €15. + Beautiful sceneries and enviroment. + Care system. - Graphics of the horse and rider. - Animations of the horse - for a 2017 horse-game it's really poor. Windstorm looks like he's got BBL and runs like overweight 15 y.o. Labrador. Also he jumps like a frickin' deer - 2,5 meters in height and like 20 meters far. - Quests that become boring very easily (it's like 3 or 4 "types" of quests). - Horse/cow catching quests are super-hard, because there's nothing as fast as running cow and Windstorm's stamina is worse than stamina of a heavy-smoker. - Free ride gets boring and if you're riding through forest, you have to follow paths. Otherwise: - the horse runs into unvisible wall and then A) stops and if you turn him another way, he starts galloping out of nowhere; B) get's stuck or C) turns the other way you want.
