Wildshape - Map Editor + VTT (free demo)

Downloaded this in hopes to finally upgrade my players to 3d from a 2d VTT. Its ok but the reason i cant recommend is because there are problems uploading your own assetts. I followed all the directions correctly and was able to import some color 3d models but i repeated the process 4 or 5 more times and couldnt get my custom 3d models to work again. Also, the standard they use for assetts is an .obj file with a .mtl file which kinda sucks because you must have a bunch of blender knowledge (which i have in making 3d models) its just the process is confusing and time consuming. The good thing is that it does large scale maps with less resources than other VTTs. I just dont want a tool thats gonna increase my game prep time i need a tool that decreases the prep time, even if the tool is interesting to use. I paid for the full version but putting the comment here because this is what users will see first before the full paid version.

Habe nur die Demo getestet: Aber - sehr umständliche Arbeitsoberfläche und -menü. Wenig Logik in den Arbeitsschritten. Einarbeitung schwierig und sehr zeitintensiv. Nicht zum "eben mal zwischendurch schnell etwas basteln" geeignet - schade.

I might just be dumb, but I can't seem to download pre-made maps or or randomly generate one, which is largely what I'm interested in. Has the appearance of 2-years-dry abandonware, as people have said. But the dev is still active on Discord. Wouldn't personally recommend this in its current state; but will redo my review if it does get updated.
