This game is a very capable survivors style game with a unique twist, but it has a huge problem: The first 30-60 minutes feel awful. Hitboxes are very bad, and since you're using (up to) 4 minions as your primary source of damage, who you can't directly control and who can and will die, you'll spend a number of runs feeling incredibly frustrated as your damage gets killed by what feels like very avoidable damage if only they'd stop running head-first into elite enemies, and you die to enemies whose hitboxes feel about 50% larger than they should be. If you can get past that, the game is quite good. The metaprogression adds a lot of options for increasing survivability, and once you've got a better handle on which minions you want to use together (and have more options unlocked to use), it's a lot easier to build a team that isn't going to fall over to a stiff breeze. The hitboxes never really improve, but it stops mattering as you get more defensive options yourself; the game becomes more about tanking damage than avoiding it rather quickly. One area that leaves a lot to be desired are bosses. None of the bosses are particularly difficult - in fact, I'd say the level leading up to the boss is harder in every case. The fourth (and final) boss has a glaring issue, as well: It alternates between (long) invulnerability phases where it puts out a lot of damage (which is easily avoidable by the player, but which typically demolishes your minions just due to their inability to not stand in the red circles), and brief vulnerable phases where you're expected to deal damage. The problem with this setup is that it's very common, especially on higher difficulties, for your minions to be dead when the vulnerable phase begins, and by the time they've revived, the boss is invulnerable again. Overall, the game is solid if you can get past the caveats outlined above; if you're in the mood for a survivors game that breaks the mold a bit, it's worth a buy.
Plain and boring. Choices hardly matter.
A solid rogue-lite bullet hell a la vampire survivors with RPG elements in the form of party abilities and builds that you make with creatures instead of weapons as in similar games. Has a dodge and from a balance perspective is broken.... About 5 hours of content, give or take. For the price, it is quite fair and a decent alternative once you are burnt out on suvivors.
WILDKEEPERS RISING, is a very chaotic survivors-like where every mechanics clashes with one another. Every session on this game felt frustrating, whether it be the Luigi physics having you retain most momentum from moving, and having to accelerate up to speed, or the incredibly tanking mobs at higher difficulties that feel impossible to kill even with all meta upgrades, and a solid understanding on how to powerscale in these types of games. The concept and lore is actually really unique but the gameplay absolutely lets it down. Instead of you becoming the weapon, you upgrade your beasts to damage and move on their own. Which leads to many many scenarios where they ditch you do die and do their own thing in another corner of the map. The gear and meta upgrade system also feel quite unrewarding, especially for what you have to sacrifice to get the currency to level them. On top of all that, the hitboxes and visual clarity are horrendous with enemies damaging you from so far away. PROS: - Unique gameplay - Lots of areas to build and minimax - Great beast diversity CONS: - Extremely frustrating - Ice movememt physics - Terrible balancing - Artifical gameplay length IF MY "GUARDIAN" BEASTS WOULD STOP DITCHING ME FOR ONE SECOND ESPECIALLY AS A RANGED CHARACTER THAT WOULD BE GREAT!!
Very good bullet heaven. The art is FANTASTIC! The monster variety is splendid and having pets do the work in a bullet heaven is a ton of fun and was a great mechanic! dOeSnT pUsH tHe GeNrE~ please. Wildkeepers rising is a ton of fun and is a fresh, beautiful face.
Really fun game, just not enough content. Beat everything in 6 hours.
cool game lots of synergies and unlocks

Análise feita pós conclusão e platina do jogo!
