Had potential but was abandoned, it was extremely buggy and lacked basic mechanics. Complete waste of money that I wish I could get back

I remember being super excited for this game, so dissapointed that it seems to have been made as a money grab. I backed it on kickstarter, should have been given two Steam Keys but wasn't given any (also didn't get my other kickstarter bonuses but OK). I decided, ok whatever, this is a cool looking game and the art style and concept are great. When I bought the game on Steam I was honestly so angry to see how poorly made it was. The game runs like complete s**t, the kickstarter didn't mention anything about it being episodic, it was advertised as a full game, and it's now been completely abandoned. I wish I could give the devs the benefit of the doubt and say they were intending to actually make a full game but... I see no evidence of that. Really wish I could get my money back...

Wild Season is a regrettable lesson in not letting your ambition exceed your abilities. I'm willing to believe that the devs fully intended to create a complete, functional game when they launched their Kickstarter. However, as with many other failed projects from the platform, as their money grew, so did the promises they made, and the game became something that, at best, would resemble nothing like the experience they came to promise. Rather than admit to the limitations of their budget, time, and inexperience, they continued to string backers and potential customers along until the well presumably ran dry and the updates unsurprisingly fell into silence. Wild Season is a buggy, broken unfinished mess and will never be more than that. What limited content exists is unpleasant to play. No one who has not bought it should ever consider buying it.
