I gave a thumbs up mainly for attempting something different. I found it quite hard to get into though. You're supposed to be trying to work out who poisoned Uncle Marcus, but the decisions available never really made me feel like I was doing any detective work. So it's best taken not too seriously.
Not gonna lie bought it only for David Wallace but didn't regret it. Really, really enjoayable replayable game, and even when I gathered enough evidence to blame everyone, I still didn't get every evidence there is in the game. Highly recommend for a good familial drama and detective. Also, only on my fifth replay I realized that even before I found an actual murderer, the clues were there the whole time in passing mentions. Very cool game
Who Pressed Mute on Uncle Marcus?, geleneksel oyun mekaniklerinden ziyade tamamen interaktif bir film (FMV) deneyimi sunuyor.

Built around a family quiz night conducted over video call, the game transforms an ordinary modern scenario into the foundation for a murder investigation filled with secrets, lies, and darkly comedic tension. What immediately makes the game stand out is how naturally its premise works. The full-motion video format is not used as a gimmick — it is the entire identity of the experience. The remote family gathering setup feels believable, relevant, and cleverly structured, creating a mystery that unfolds through conversation, suspicion, and deduction rather than traditional exploration or action. Strong Writing That Balances Mystery and Humor One of the game’s biggest strengths is its writing. The dialogue feels sharp, natural, and often genuinely funny, giving each family member a distinct personality while slowly revealing layers of dysfunction, hidden motives, and long-buried tension. What begins as a chaotic family interaction gradually becomes something much more intriguing as inconsistencies emerge and suspicion grows. The writing balances humor and mystery exceptionally well, allowing the game to remain entertaining even as the stakes rise. That tonal balance is difficult to achieve, but Who Pressed Mute on Uncle Marcus? handles it with confidence. Interactive Investigation That Feels Rewarding The investigative structure is simple but surprisingly engaging. Searching conversations for clues, questioning statements, uncovering contradictions, and piecing together what really happened creates a satisfying sense of involvement. Rather than making players passive viewers, the game constantly encourages attention and deduction. Progress feels earned because uncovering the truth depends on observation and interpretation, not simply following a linear story. The interactive design keeps the FMV format active and engaging throughout. Excellent Performances Bring the Mystery to Life The cast delivers strong performances across the board, which is crucial in a game built entirely around dialogue and character interactions. Every family member feels distinct, eccentric, suspicious, or emotionally layered in their own way. The performances give the mystery credibility while also enhancing the game’s humor and tension. Uncle Marcus himself is particularly memorable, anchoring the emotional and narrative core of the experience with charm, urgency, and unpredictability. A Unique Use of the FMV Format What makes Who Pressed Mute on Uncle Marcus? especially impressive is how effectively it uses the full-motion video format in a way that feels modern and purposeful. Rather than imitating traditional games awkwardly, it embraces its format fully and builds mechanics, pacing, and storytelling around it. The result feels cohesive rather than experimental. It proves once again that FMV games can be genuinely engaging when built on strong writing, structure, and performance. Replayability Through Choices and Outcomes Another major strength is replay value. Different choices, investigative paths, and outcomes encourage multiple playthroughs, making the mystery feel dynamic rather than one-and-done. The branching structure rewards curiosity, and revisiting scenes with greater knowledge often reveals details that were easy to miss the first time. That makes the game surprisingly rich for an experience built around a relatively contained premise. Why It Works So Well What makes Who Pressed Mute on Uncle Marcus? succeed is how well it combines a clever concept, strong performances, interactive deduction, and genuinely entertaining writing. It understands that a mystery is not just about the final reveal — it is about making the process of uncovering the truth engaging. And it absolutely succeeds at that. What could have been a novelty instead becomes a smart, memorable interactive thriller. Final Verdict Who Pressed Mute on Uncle Marcus? is a clever, funny, and surprisingly gripping interactive mystery that makes excellent use of its unique premise and FMV format. With strong performances, sharp writing, meaningful player involvement, and genuine replayability, it stands as one of the more creative narrative-driven experiences in the genre. A must-play for fans of mystery games, interactive storytelling, and FMV adventures — Who Pressed Mute on Uncle Marcus? is smart, entertaining, and far more compelling than its quirky premise first suggests.
