Picked this one up thinking it'd be a fun logic game to spend a few hours playing through. It was a massive disappointment. Here are the highlights: - It took 20 minutes to play through the existing content (granted they do say early access). - There are a grand total of two minigames. The first has you construct a 9-piece puzzle. The second has you collect balloons. Neither are difficult or challenging in any way. - Once you talk to all eight culprits, the game tells you who is the liar. No deduction necessary. I sat wondering what was going on with all the positive reviews. The art and music are OK but limited, but the story is bland and practically non-existent, and the characters were branded charismatic while being underdeveloped to the point of being complete strangers. TURNS OUT... all those people posting positive reviews have also left positive reviews on the same other games with a similar framework -- first game from that studio, low price point, and clearly fake reviews. There is no creativity or ingenuity put into this game - it is designed to swindle you. It's not worth the $2 price nor the 20 minutes of time spent on it.
It reminded me of a boardgame I love: Mansion of Madness (but with a funny theme and without the dark atmosphere)! I really liked the look and the music of the game! Recommended
This game has a lot more personality than many great BOG games we see out there! Art and soundtrack are lovely!! I'm really excited to see the final version! =)
A fun game, very well produced. The visuals are incredible, combining cartoon 2D and stunning 3D. A humorous narrative, it reminds me of the movie Knives Out with its crazy eccentric family. Looking forward to play the next stories in the final version.
I love the Detective board game and "Who is the Liar?" came to make me relive this feeling to play an excellent detective game, but now, with a unique touch of humor! I recommend the purchase!
A simple game about mysteries and investigation with a good dose of humor. If you like CLUE you will love it. Waiting for new cases to solve !!! I recommend!
The game is very well produced, the art is very nice, with a great touch of humor in the plot. It reminds me of a detective board game. Very good for having fun and spending time. Recommended!
This is an amazing detective game, you are called by someone, you listen to what happened and then you have to find who's the one telling lies, it's a great game that gets you engaged to the case, buiding up a mental map to understand what really happened, it's an early access game, so I believe there'll be more cases in the future. It's a really good game for this price, go buy it now!
A very interesting plot that holds our attention from beginning to the end until we completely understand what happened. I also love the art style. The mix of 2D with the 3D environment makes it very unique. Even if it is short, worth every penny! Highly recommended!
Great mystery party ambience and beautiful "board game like" art style! I found it very funny to chase the party balloons x) Can't wait to see more cases!
