AVOID THIS. It looks exciting on the surface but it's all downhill from there. First and foremost: MISADVERTISEMENT. The game only features random sudoku generation for the laughably easy 2x2 mode. The 3x3 and 4x4 cubes are NOT generated randomly. The game only has 1 predefined cube per difficulty which gets cosmetically re-enumerated to fool you into thinking there's random generation. This gif should explain it better. Basically there are no "infinite 3x3 puzzles" like the game advertises, you'll be doing the exact same deductions every time. So now that you understand that the game literally has only 3 puzzles allow me to bombard you with all the technical issues: - The game crashes every hour or two in 4x4 mode (wiping your progress since auto-save). - The fonts are TINY. In 4x4 it is extremely difficult to distinguish 8 and B, 6 and G etc. - There is no undo button!! Misinputs happen often and are always disastrous. - Forced keyboard controls. No virtual numpad for mouse-only play. It is natural that the 4x4 mode fonts become tiny and cluttered. BUT! - 3x3 mode runs at the same scale as 4x4 does. - Basically it's zoomed out, with most of screen space left unused. - You cannot rotate the cube freely. - You cannot zoom in or out either. - Cubes are titled downwards so that the lower numbers get barely visible. - You also see too much of the top surface which is not helpful or relevant. - Playing this game on a 15'' laptop is almost impossible, even in 3x3 mode!! P.S. That being said, Math Expressions, a game from the same developer, is actually really good. It has a crappy payment structure (the game is "free" but you must buy the cheap "DLC" unlock to continue) but aside from that it's certainly worth the money.
It's a game. There are plenty of free Sudoku games out there, and I'm not sure this brings anything new to the table. I thought the 3D aspect would be fun, but the controls aren't optimized well at all, so you're constantly spinning the cube by accident. The tiny font also makes it very hard to take notes, so I may never do the 16 x 16 "D" cube as I simply can't see 20 x 15 or 20 x 10 vision; I wear glasses and can only see about 20 x 30, so while I did give the "D" cube a glance, I had to keep using a magnifying glass and some eye-drops; there are no options to enlarge the playing area or to zoom in. Therefore, I can't recommend this game to anyone who is near-sighted.

You can rotate as you like, solve 6 Sudoku puzzles at once. Various difficulties. 6面体キューブの数独…と聞くと地獄のように思えるが、実際は辺部分の連結しかない。なかなか面倒なことには変わらないが、こういうのに興味があれば。 Mini-video >> https://twitter.com/hhfcurator/status/1527659309508677632
This one immediately caught my eye and I bought it without hesitation. I have no regrets at all. This game is surprisingly a very pleasant Sudoku version. The developers are quite responsive and for example quickly responded by adding a music mute button which was nice so I could easily join discord while playing. I just finished the 4x4 after a couple of complete do-overs and probably got my best focus after my husband told me to give up 🙂). Even if no new big ones will be added, I'm pretty sure I will take a new attempt on the same one later. Finishing it felt really great. Now I can go for the rest of the achievements and why not, maybe for a nice spot on the leaderboard. Thumbs up. And I just love the clicking sounds 🙂
Clever, engaging, and well-presented! Works great on Steam Deck: set the left touchpad to a radial menu w/ numbers.
Disclaimer: I won a key in a contest put on by Mandinga games. I also was fourth person to complete their hardest difficulty puzzle (Difficulty D, the 16x16 behemoth) and won a contest giving me keys to all of their games, present and future. While I had not heard of Mandinga games before finding this game and have not received anything else of value than the aforementioned keys nor have I been directed to make this review in any way. I want to state this for full disclosure. I love Sudoku, so when I saw this game had effectively infinite puzzles as well as a 16x16 experience I decided to give the contest a try. I played the demo quite a lot, I think I had ~10-20 hours in the demo alone. This game is essentially just Sudoku, but instead of doing one puzzle you are doing six puzzles simultaneously. There are some things to note about that: - If you play on higher difficulties then you are generally required to finish multiple edges to complete the puzzle. This is because faces come with incomplete information. This is great because it makes it harder to brute force with computer solvers and requires you to actually think, find singles, pairs, triples, x-wings, y-wings, etc. - Digits on an edge see a minimum or two different sides, and are effective on the sides they see. - You cannot select multiple cells at once. This makes inputting notes/pencil marks across multiple cells more time consuming. - Notes/pencil marks are automatically removed when you insert a digit and that digit is looking at a cell with its note in it. i.e. you have a note/pencil mark saying r3c5 is a 1 and you input a 1 into r7c5 the pencil mark in r3c5 will be removed. - Generally, the Phisotmefel Ring is not going to help you. For those that know what that is, and are able to implement it, this game will probably feel more like a unique take on classic sudoku. - At the time of writing, there is no undo button. - At the time of writing, there is no hint button. In my experience the dev is very open to suggestions and is vocal about what they are fixing and working on. I have very much enjoyed this game and I am planning on purchasing a copy for a friend of mine if they tell me they want it. If you like Sudoku, you'll like this game. It's a bit of a different experience, requires a bit of a different thinking method (thinking about multiple faces instead of just a singular puzzle), though it is absolutely an amazing take on Sudoku. You can think of it as a variant of classic Sudoku in a way. If you don't understand Sudoku but want to get into it then the game has a 4x4 cell set of puzzles to get you started and help you understand the game, then an easy set of 9x9 puzzles, hard set of 9x9 puzzles, and finally hard 16x16 puzzles. Hopefully in the future we see an undo button and maybe other variants. Killer Sudoku, Arrow Sudoku, or Thermo Sudoku hopefully! EDIT: It has come to my attention that the devs have not actually generated puzzles as they said they did and instead have a singular puzzle where they rotate the numbers in a singular set of positions. You will always be completing the same base puzzle, the initial given digits are always the same. i.e. if you are given a 1 in r2c1 in one difficulty then start a new puzzle on that same difficulty you will find that r2c1 is now a 4. This is the same with all givens and means that you are only playing one puzzle. To read more about it check out this thread: https://steamcommunity.com/app/1770230/discussions/0/6164890302168622779/ For this I have to change my review to not recommended. It is a fun idea, though I wish it could have been implemented in a way that isn't misleading. A real shame, I really enjoyed it when I played.

Poorly optimized, no options, very basic, crashes a lot on the large cube.
