About
Which Wizard takes what you love about social deduction games and adds exciting new layers of magic. Venture into a cursed castle with a party of up to 10 Wizards, only to discover that one (or more) of your so-called friends has been consumed by Evil. Can the Good Wizards identify the traitor trying to kill them all before it's too late?
You'll have to use all your cunning to discover the truth (or conceal it) with spells flying everywhere!
Use Transfrogrify to disable other Wizards' spells (and killing power) by turning them into slow, hopping frogs
Each Wizard gets a random subclass with a unique spell! Subclass doesn't care about alignment, so beware the Evil Healer who "just" wants to take care of you... alone... in a dark hallway… with no witnesses…
Evil Wizards have access to secret magic like Who's Who, making everyone anonymous for 10 seconds so they can pull off tricky kills
Ghosts haunt the castle! Dead Wizards who collect the most magic orbs get to choose a Haunt that affects all Wizards on the next round
Act fast: the castle's curse drains Health from Good Wizards every second
Complete quests (mini-games) around the castle to gain Health
Good Wizards can donate Health to repair the Magic Crystal. With enough donations, they'll cure the curse for an instant win
Evil Wizards can use Health to cast blood magic and set off curses to confuse and interrupt their targets
Portals give Evil Wizards a way to travel instantly across the castle and surprise their prey
Summon everyone to banish a suspicious Wizard. Evil wins if it kills enough Good!
Explore Dark Meadows Castle with its pockets of lore and charming characters like Meemo the sleepy dragon
Adjust spell cooldowns, movement speed, vision radius, and many other rules to customize your game
Full controller support lets you play your way!
Connect to lobbies on worldwide servers
Accuse each other of murder with in-game text chat
Play with up to 10 people so you can betray more people in one go
Which Wizard is a love letter to the social deduction genre.
We love how online social deduction games can bring friends together near and far to communicate and solve mysteries together. We love when players create awesome drama, suspense, and sneaky plays. Our goal with Which Wizard is to take what we like about social deduction, reimagine some elements, and give players the tools to craft a personal strategy around new gameplay layers like subclass spells and map-wide ghost haunts.
We’re a small team that has been working hard to make something that we (and hopefully you) enjoy playing! Which Wizard began with a humble game jam shortly after the pandemic hit, and it gave us all a creative, communal outlet through hard times that followed. We hope that it brings you closer to new or old friends the same way it brought us together as a team! Nothing says "I care about you" like a little magic murder between friends.
Spread the magic! We have a Discord if you'd like to join for play sessions, devlogs, updates, and more!

There is a cat-dragon that purrs and you can turn your friends into frogs. If you need anymore reasons, see Frog Squad
This game is SO MUCH FUN! If you're into Among Us, this game is right up your alley. Not only do you get to enjoy killing your friends and get away with it, but there is so much more versatility to the game play that makes the hours fly by. Highly recommend to anyone who is looking for a new variant of Among Us that adds another level of complexity and deduction.
Super fun social deduction game! The magic powers being random adds a fun bit of chaos into the mix, and spamming frog spell when you know you're about to be murdered is a fun time! If you enjoy among us or other games like that, definitely give this a try!
This game is great! Super well designed and fun to play, I love all the little quirks and features that make the game fun to play whilst also being engaging! I'm a really big fan <3
Very good game it great with a bunch of people! have a great laugh and still get to do more things when your dead always feel involved in the game and have great party's!!!
a social deduction game with potential to rival Among us.
So fun!! Definitely like Among Us, in that you're trying to find the killer (evil wizard instead of impostor in this case), but with a lot of unique mechanics. Even the evil wizard gets tasks and abilities, so it's easier for someone new to the game to not totally give themselves away by not being able to name tasks, for instance. Also you are kinda forced to do tasks, because as a wizard you need to keep your mana up, so it encourages splitting up instead of grouping together, making it easier for chaos to reign. The magic abilities are also super fun, and love the ability to frogify others. With frogification, you actually have a shot against an evil killer wizard, since frogs can't perform killing spells! So if someone is sus, you can proactively frog them when they get near :3 And when you die and become a ghost, you're able to choose effects after the next meeting that impact the game - giving everyone a speed boost, for instance, or party mode. It makes it a more engaging to be ded. Was able to play in more the alpha/beta stage, and there's been so many new additions, and can't wait for even more to come during early access!! Easiest Steam purchase decision ever!
Such a fun little game, you get to pet the dragon, commit crimes, deny children's wishes. Whats not to love?
It's a very cute social deduction game with a lot of customization options. And frogs.
Game is dead as of now. Do not let the missing negative Reviews fool you. Been online a few times in the evenings, checking different zones: Not one public server found. EVER. Not more negative reviews due to a lock preventing posting reviews unless you spend at least half an hour online. Neat trick.
