Де Вода Смакує як Вино - сюжетна пригода, що розгортається у США початку XX століття з усім їхнім блиском і злиднями. Подорожуючи автостопом через усі 48 штатів, ми збираємо та переказуємо історії, які звісно набирають обертів і стають все дедалі неймовірнішими. Історії можуть бути найрізноманітнішими - від побуту до народних казок, від трагедій до міфів. Гра наповнена до країв посиланнями на фольклор, історичні події та постаті. Кейсі Джонс, Ледермен, Тайліпо, Лавкрафт, Пекос Білл і ще багато-багато інших. Хоча тут був би вкрай доречний кодекс, бо неможливо вловити кожне посилання. Проте гра ніколи не потопає у прославлянні амерікани. По дорозі ми стаємо свідками винищення видів, жахливих умов праці, расизму, сегрегації та гомофобії - усього, що йшло рука в руку з Маніфест Дестіні. Гра демонструє майстер-клас сценарію, переплітаючи історію та фольклор у постійно ростущий гобелен історій. Оскільки це насамперед наративний досвід, ігроладу тут небагато. Проте як на мене досвід це дуже розслабляючий. Просто прогулянки світом і прослуховування розповідей… мабуть, саме тому я не відривався від екрану останні два дні. Чи я згадував що тут майже все озвучено? Саундтрек тут фантастичний. Фолк, блюз, балади - все, чого можна очікувати від такого сеттингу. Але що справді робить ост чудовим - це те, як він змінюється під час переходу від штату до штату пристосовуючись до навколишнього середовища. Той трек іспанською з околиць Нью-Мексико певно мій улюблений. Я беззаперечно рекомендую «Where the Water Tastes Like Wine» кожному, хто хоч трохи цікавиться американською історією чи фольклором. Це подекуди не ідеальна подорож, але переповнена історіями, в яких варто загубитися.
Мне очень понравилась игра. Неспешно ходишь по карте, слушаешь приятный саундтрек, собираешь истории - а они потом обретают полумифический оттенок. Ночуешь где придется, встречаешься с разными интересными людьми, у каждого своя история и свое видение на страну. Очень чувствуется любовь разработчиков к США, в хорошем смысле. Эта игра пропитана этой любовью, принимая все положительное и отрицательное. На самом деле, даже захотелось поиграть в такую бродилку-собиралку историй и по своей стране, хахах. Если хочется чего-то неспешного, атмосферного и с кучей мелких зарисовок - это сюда. Очень хорошо. /И да, пройти игру на 100 процентов невозможно/
