Where the Walls Breathe

Just completed the game. Its one very awesome realistic horror game with a trippy house design and top notch graphics. A scary grudge like ghost keeps messing with you in a haunted home. Fantastic gameplay and cool story. Highly recommended

I will recommend this game with a Disclaimer for horror fans: The game is VERY dark. At times, frustratingly so. The most important aspect of any videogame is being able to see it. I would have preferred if the power didn't go out as many times as it did, or at least provide a flashlight in-game. A note to the Dev, and this applies to many Devs of this genre: it's easy to fall into the trap that Darkness = Scary, or that the atmosphere must be dark to be horror. This is not true. That aside, as a first attempt, there is a LOT to love about the game, and well worth it's cheap price. The mood and atmosphere is unsettling, the graphics are beautiful (when you can actually see them!), and there were several times I was actually creeped out. The game also does NOT rely on cheap jump-scares, which is a welcome change from other Horror Walking Sims. Dev, don't get discouraged by the mixed reviews. This looks like a first attempt, and you did a lot of things very well! I would suggest if you ever update this game, to increase the brightness just a few notches, or see about providing a flashlight. (and perhaps a 'sprint' button?). The one thing I did like about the darkness was the shadows, and the contrast of light and darkness. I do see what you were going for...I think. However, this can still be accomplished if the game was a little brighter. The darkness issue is really the only one I have! Everything else, I enjoyed! Please keep making horror Walking Sims, and I for one will keep checking them out.

Where the Walls Breathe is a walking sim psychological horror game with some puzzles and with good jumpscares. The atmosphere and the jumpscares are well done and because you never know when the jumpscares will come and the atmosphere makes you pay attention to everything. Overall good game. The sound design is pretty good. Had me on the edge of my seat. It is definitely too dark and I wish there were at least a brightness feature in settings. Finding the items needed to progress was a little annoying, but I liked concept of the story and felt the game was eerie. 7/10 :)

This game killed. Total homage to Visage. Dark and ultra gritty. (Personally. I didn't mind how dark it was and feel as though it had nothing to do with creating a "scary" atmosphere.) Pacing was good. Never felt lost. I had no performance issues. A hidden gem in a sea of Unreal Engine "horror" games. For the price it's worth it.

Muy buen juego de terror, el diseño de la casa es espectacular. Esos cambios que hay en la casa generan una atmósfera de tensión e inquietud. Los que dicen que está muy oscuro, hay muchas cerillas en cajones por distintas zonas de la casa, yo por lo menos no he visto el juego oscuro como he leído en algún comentario. Enhorabuena a su desarrollador, muy recomendable.
