[English at the end!] Was dieses Spiel nicht ist: Phasmophobia. Was dieses Spiel ist: Phasmophobia, aber in cozy! "What is the Ghost" macht vieles ganz richtig. Das Spiel ist sehr einsteigerfreundlich, da die Mechaniken sinnvoll, kurzweilig und leicht verständlich sind. Trotzdem hat der Developer (Einzahl!) es geschafft, die Runden so spannend zu halten, sodass die Einstiegsschwelle sehr gering ist. Sehr gut! Die Runden sind schnell gespielt, und der Progress ist greifbar und läuft nebenbei mit. Es gibt leichte RPG-Elemente, das Leveln läuft mit, der Grundtenor ist kappaesk (und dadurch witzig). Bugs sind keine (bzw. wenige, nicht spielentscheidende) vorhanden, das Spiel läuft sehr rund, auch auf niedrigen Specs. Der Dev ist bemüht auf die Rückmeldungen seiner Spieler zu hören. In der Community kommt das Spiel als Phasmo-Alternative sehr gut an, es brauchte quasi keine Überzeugungsarbeit, und bereits nach kurzer Zeit ließen sich volle Lobbies bilden. Der Multiplayer läuft (bis auf wenige Eigenheiten) sauber und rund - stetige Absprache ist via Ingame Chat (kein Voice!) möglich und auch notwendig. Insgesamt: Ein sehr rundes Spiel, dem man seinen Early Access nicht anmerkt. "What is the Ghost" does many things right. The game is very beginner-friendly, as the mechanics are sensible, entertaining, and easy to understand. Despite this, the developer (singular!) has managed to keep the rounds so exciting that the barrier to entry is very low. Excellent! The rounds are quick and progress is tangible and happens naturally. There are little RPG elements, leveling is integrated, and the overall tone is Kappaesque (and therefore funny). There are no bugs (or very few, non-game-breaking) and the game runs very smoothly, even on low specs. The developer is keen to listen to player feedback. The game is very well received in the community as a Phasmo alternative; it needed literally no convincing, and full lobbies were formed in no time. The multiplayer runs smoothly (with a few minor quirks) – constant communication via in-game chat (no voice chat!) is possible and necessary. Overall: A very polished game that doesn't show its Early Access status. Highly recommended for quick, fun, and entertaining rounds!

Das spiel macht unglaublich viel spaß und ist von der Schwierigkeit sehr fair und Einsteigerfreundlich und macht ehrlich gesagt süchtig

das ist ein sehr entspanntes und wirklich sehr gut gelungenes Horrorgame der Entwickler hat sich viel mühe gegeben was man auch merkt <3

This game is actually lovely!! I recommend for once to play it like once a week as you get surprised every week how much the dev puts into it. Contra: Grafiklovers will hate it but yea they hate everything. eh except melons maybe. Big ones. Otherwise at this stage i have nothing bad to say. Be prepared to be completly caught off guard every week if you only play it once a week XD this dev is crazy with cooking up things. I started with basically nothing on the screen. the houses were already dark and sinister. but NOW?? from just a little eerie feeling to god darn real jumpscares now! The ghost had given their dev the list of personal items and the delivery has happened last week. the houses now probably are homes of ghosts. watch where you step though XD some "little gifts" were left by either little pets or other players before you XD The game has a lot of modes and HELL nope i will NOT do the Ultra Hardcore mode anytime soon no thy. I already have my fun with my usual demon buddies. The hunts are nicely made. U can ACTUALLY find a ghost by looking on HOW he BEHAVES! but given most of us are no spiritual mentalist letz stick to the Artefacts and just try to not get spooked to heartattack Lv. You have everything. From casual- mid crazy to hardcore "I wanna torture myself and my friends" mode. And this.. is 2D only. I prefer indeed 3D but hell this game is a must have. Its so nice especially for streamer to just squeeze it in in between or for simple community nights. and TRUST me... Clips are safe!!! You WILL end up getting clipped in a way or another. IF you are in a stream or video. I recommend Streaming as it has really clip potential XD

Dieses Spiel ist mehr als gut gelungen, Ihr bekommt ein super spannendes Horror Game in einem nostalgischen Pixel-Design. Ich liebe alles daran. Wenn ihr überlegt es euch zuzulegen, ich kanns nur empfehlen 👍

It is a super fun 2d pixel ghost hunting game that you can play with your friends. It has ghosts, death and a skill tree to level up your character. If you like other ghost hunting games, I urge you to give this game a try! The dev is always adding new things to the game as well.
