Note: Dead PvP game This game contains no meaningful single player content. There are no available servers and no player population. This game cannot be played as intended.
This is a godawful near-Chess themed strategy game, similar to chess in that it's turn based on a grid (that's about it), but with added fantasy elements like hatching units and casting spells. Sloppy, lazy visuals that got phoned in as an afterthought and punishing RNG deterred players. So, Wequer is a dead PvP game. Why did it fail? It's video game autopsy time! Almost every PvP exclusive game on Steam fails. Only a tiny proportion of them "go viral". This game failed for many of the same reasons those others fail. The chief of which is the developer thinking that their game will "go viral" without actually creating any reason for it do so. Competition amongst PvP centric games is extreme, and there's only a finite player base to appeal to. This game failed to reach any kind of critical mass and died as a result. Let's go into some of the reasons this particular game failed to appeal to gamers, despite the zero up front cost. First and foremost, there's no meaningful single player content. The developer gambled that other players would be an acceptable substitute for adding storytelling, level design etc to the Game. They lost that bet. Without a huge community of players or single player content to add a lasting value to the game, the game dies. Developers must learn that other players are not an acceptable substitute for adding content to a game. This features really godawful pixelcrap "art" instead of real graphics. It's hard to say if this was because the developer didn't have the skill to do the job of creating 3D visuals, or couldn't afford to hire someone who does, but it also doesn't matter. What matters is that this looks much worse than most other games because of that decision, and that's a major deterrent to gamers. Games like Terraria and Stardew Valley succeeded despite the bad graphics, not because of them. This game is fairly dated at 6 years old... and even back then it looked old and busted compared to contemporary, professionally made 3D games of the same period. It looked bad then, it looks worse now. On pricing, this is "free" enough, at least you won't be expected to spend any more money after you download this, but just because something is free doesn't mean it's good, and the cost of a game is more than just financial, your time is valuable too. Despite having no up-front cost, this failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at less than 100 concurrent players, they couldn't even break three figures, and now there's basically nobody playing it. Even though it's free. This is a dismal public reception, but it's easy to see why gamers rejected it. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? Nope. This isn't worth downloading. There's no financial cost up-front, but you'd still be spending your time and a little hard drive space on a product that's far from the best. There's thousands of better alternatives on Steam.
Satranç çok gelişti! Wequer'de kazanmak için yumurtalardan birimler çıkarın, menzilli saldırılar yapın, alçakça büyüler yapın ve tahtanın kontrolünü ele geçirin.
Very fun strategy game. Lots of decisions and planning ahead in this one. The little rng that is present shakes the games up a ton and leads to some really cool strats both for you to use and play against. The mechanics are very precise and have clear focus. Feels amazing to outsmart your opponent when you plan something out. Definitely try this one out cause it's free!

Quite a bit of fun. You have three units. One of which attacks things, one of which can either summon eggs that create obstacles on the board, or hatch those eggs into a variety of low level units that move and fight on their own, and one of which can cast a variety of spells that might buff your low level units or destroy an egg and allow you to pass through the space. I like that being unable to move through eggs and other units adds a puzzle-like quality to the game which otherwise would be straight up tactics. it's also interesting that many of the creatures seem to be underwater creatures, maybe this is taking place on a beach? The store page suggests this is Chess evolved, I'm not sure about that. Creatures take multiple hits to kill, and the spell system adds a random element that Chess seems to have intentionally avoided. I think the random element helps this game so that you don't use the same strategy over and over again. Different cards coming up forces you to try different things.
To be honest, I think this deserves more recognition 'cause this game is actually pretty good. It has some nice music, amazing pixel art, great gameplay, all of that. Yet, not that many people know about it. And it was published 5 years ago like what?!?
