This is an indie horror from the first person, in which you find yourself in an area called Kowloon in search of cheap housing. The inhabitants of this place only at first glance seem to be ordinary people, but if we dig deeper, we will see their real faces.

Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.14/day in the week to Sep 2 → 0.29/day in the week after.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.71/day in the week to Jul 21 → 2/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Sajnos nagyon rövid, de annál intenzívebb jumpscare parádé. Egyszer megéri végignyomni.
so worth it jumpscares will get you 100%

I'm mixed on this. It is very atmospheric and does a great job of keeping you going. However, while you always feel on edge the only pay off is always a jumpscare. If you like that sort of thing it will be an experience for you. I beat it in about 40 minutes so keep that in mind. Puzzles are very easy and you are almost handheld along
Boring.
Initial expressions were very good. Nice intro, detailed environment and good sound design. Sadly enough, it was also loaded with issues. Events not triggering unless you walked around multiple times. Lots of stutters on high quality setting. And very fiddly doors, swinging in both directions and often blocking the player because how poorly they opened. The latter even happened during a chase scene for f's sake! The previous three games from this dev were growing progressively better with huge leaps. Welcome to Kowloon has even better graphics and again a good sound design, but gameplay and overal experience were far worse. There were a few good jump scares, but overall the game was boring. Story was pretty vague, but that's not uncommon for these short horror games. The thing I disliked most was the cheap way to extend the length by constantly forcing you to walk back and forth through nearly every section just to pick up and use some objects. Very disappointing.
Welcome to Kowloon is a walking horror sim. Your objective is escape by interacting with things and figuring out how to get out. The game has a scary atmosphere and jump scares that managed to get me twice, but they do not make for good horror, as they are basically just simple scares. Only in one section I got punished for being caught by the... thing. I enjoyed the world, the world building with dirt, blood, all that that stuff, I also like how it started, that initial travel to the apartment. I enjoyed the feel of everything, but soon the true intention of the game is laid bare in the form 'what happened to Kowloon and the its victims' and this does add a forced element of emotion to the game. The game isn't that scary, and the horror feels forced. There also is a lack of anything to do or to interact with, this leaves a lot to be desired. I wouldn't recommend it over all, if you want to grab it for a short experience with a few jump scares, then grab it on a sale.
