Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 5/day in the week to Aug 11 → 14.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
Way of the Hunter 2 delivers a deeper, more dynamic hunting experience built around living ecosystems, advanced animal behavior, and three distinct hunting regions. Track game across a vast North American wilderness, face dangerous wildlife in an African hunting ground, and explore a Rocky Mountain region centered around the Hearth & Hunt Headquarters lodge — an expandable hunting hub with additional rooms, display space, and trophy mounts for showcasing trophies from current and future hunting grounds.
Animals behave and react naturally to their surroundings, rewarding players who carefully study tracks, movement patterns, and habitat conditions before taking a shot. Players can also venture out freely to explore the wilderness, enjoy spontaneous hunts, and experience the beauty of nature alongside their dog companion. Expanding on the foundation of the original game, the sequel sharpens realism, accessibility, and player freedom while preserving the deliberate pacing and authenticity that define the series.
Experience the thrill of the hunt across diverse wilderness regions in North America and Africa. Track and display big game like Moose, Elk, Bears, Bison, and a wide range of smaller animals and birds. In Africa, face some of the world’s most dangerous wildlife, including massive hippos, thunderous buffalo, prowling lions, and stealthy Nile crocodiles.
Way of the Hunter 2's goal is to become the most authentic and advanced virtual hunting experience. Building upon our previous experience, invaluable player feedback, and countless iterations this game will start as the foundation for many updates, expansions and a true long-term support.
As an adaptable hunter building your reputation, you’ll take on unique challenges across three breathtaking hunting regions after being recruited by Hearth & Hunt to help local residents, work alongside your new Hearth & Hunt colleagues, and preserve regional ecosystems. In New Laurentia, investigate the unusual behavior of the local moose population with the help of a skilled dog trainer and a former warden.
In Kilimaya Reserve, support a renowned safari guide, train with an eccentric archery expert, and track down a legendary retired huntress while helping maintain the balance of the ecosystem. Meanwhile, deep in the Rocky Mountains, a colorful elderly Irish carpenter is more than happy to turn your hard-earned cash into lodge expansions with extra rooms and trophy displays—usually while distracting you with stories about mushrooms and local folklore.
Hunting Dog: A loyal companion that detects animal signs, follows blood trails, and tracks wounded game. With regular exercise and training, it grows more skilled over time.
Shot review: Our improved bullet camera lets you break down every shot with precision. Analyze trajectory, speed, angle, placement, and more — learn how to make the perfect shot, every time.
High-Tech Equipment: Advanced gear sharpens your instincts, delivering a more immersive hunting experience with thermal night vision and enhanced reserve monitoring to manage habitats.
Hearth & Hunt Headquarters: A smaller Rocky Mountain hub map where you can unwind or explore the surrounding wilderness. Expand the Lodge as your hunting adventures continue, then fill it with your favorite trophies from across all regions.

Fun, relaxing game. Just waiting for multiplayer to become available to be able to play with friends then the game would be even better
In the state rn I really like the game. Even if I only have 1 map but the game is really new and I think the will add more in the future. U cannot compare this to call of the wild BC it's new. The graphics are reall good, the hunt ist fun and I have a lot of weapons rn. The only thing I would really enjoy would be a optional bulletcam.
Africa is in dire need of Impala, Giraffe and Elephant. There is no game that has Impala and it's sad, i really hope there are new speicies to come
This game is in early access and it shows, nevertheless the potential is very high. Things I like about this game at the moment (version 0.4.0): -Clear and much nicer graphical style compared to the first WOTH game -New animals, especially the small ptarmigans (Loved to hunt Black Grouse & Ptarmigans in COTW) -Atmosphere is very good -Really good starting point as you have a .308 rifle straight -Animals really can hide themselves quite good, so there is some challenge for our eyes -There are some nice additions like tents, monopod, silencers, scents etc compared to first WOTH Things I don't like so much in this game at the moment: -Animal behavior feels a little more arcadey compared to first WOTH; If you, for example, shoot a dall sheep and the herd reacts to so they run away but they are really stupid and way too soon they start coming back to where you made the shot - wasn't this bad in WOTH 1 I think, and I still play that too. Also it seems too easy to close up on animals, meaning that if we want a challenge we need to hunt using bows or we need to hunt small prey which are much harder to see and therefore harder to hunt. -This game takes too much toll on your computer at the moment and also it seems that it's not always logical. Once I setup the game and started first time, it ran nicely - constant 60fps, no hiccups and my RTX 2070 Super (I play 1080p) was working about 70 - 75% power. As I quit playing and shutdown the computer and then next day started the game without changing anything, it was stuttering and running slow as FXXK, it was somewhere 20-30 FPS and RTX was constant 100% no matter what. I managed to tweak the game so now it's reliably running 60 FPS, RTX going somewhere 80 - 90% but worse details; luckily for me the african map seems to be easier to run but clearly this game needs some serious optimization in the future; I ain't gonna pay some 500-800€ for a new graphics adapter just to play this game. -The power of the weapons seems more realistic but there seems to be some weird choices made - .338 Lapua is not something you normally use for a moose (in about 100 - 150 meters range). This caliber is for long range shooting and is just a stupid overkill for most prey. Also if I understand correctly, the 45-70 Government is something that was designed to have enough stopping power for a bison, so it should be a brutal rifle to carry but it seems it's not even close to realism in this game. -The Hard mode isn't really hard. I'd love to see this game developed so we can pretty much completely customize how it plays. I admit I play unrealistically myself since I mostly go walking around the map and I stalk my prey so I don't camp in hunting towers etc. The most realism I expect from guns, bullet physics and animal behavior. I'm hopeful since we have only just started our journey with this game. Anyway, all in all I'm feeling very positive with this game and I believe we will have a nice road ahead hunting
