Given the number of delays this game had before release I don't even want to think what the game looked like back in April. The steering is hilariously bad for a game that requires precision steering The challenges to face are less numerous than random character skins, countless levels are just a rehash of the same obstacles. There's a general lack of content here. One of the obstacles is a high and low bar to jump through but without doing the jump once or twice it's pretty hard to tell how much you'll need to adjust the speed, without knowing the level I'm not sure how you can really judge that obstacle at all. I have no idea what happens when you go through the sidewinds but the steering seems to change on it's own. There's no lean/pitch control in the air or on the ground as far as I'm aware (it wasn't needed tho). There is however turning in the air, like completely changing trajectory which I also thought was weird. Despite the awkward controls it's still not that hard, I completed the entire campaign with all achievements in <1.1hrs as I played online with a friend for a bit first then did the complete campaign and achievements afterwards. The main difficulty does not come from the obstacles but a mixture of the controls and levels getting longer. e.g. the first levels are "complete in 11 seconds" and the last levels are "complete in 65 seconds" but the obstacles aren't really much different. Most levels were completed in 1 try at the achievement unlock pace, only a couple took multiple tries. All that said, £6 for an hour of fun isn't awful and the multiplayer is kinda awful right now but might get better along with the rest of the game so I wont refund but I also wouldn't recommend it yet... This level of game completion is what I would expect a demo to be at. So to link back to my opening sentence, god knows what they had when they delayed the release the last like 4 or 5 times LMAO.

Good Bike Game to grind 100% Achievements = Watch Your Ride
Had fun playing local multiplayer. Would be nice to have score counter for each player, hope dev will add it, will check single player campaign later
Watch Your Ride – Bicycle Game, developed and published by Tiny Magicians, is an arcade-style cycling title that trades realism for precision-based challenge, delivering an experience that is as much about control and timing as it is about movement. Rather than simulating traditional cycling, it leans into physics-driven mechanics that turn each level into a balancing act, where momentum, angle, and player input all interact in ways that can either carry you smoothly to the finish or send you tumbling off the course. It’s a deceptively simple concept that quickly becomes demanding once the mechanics reveal their depth. The gameplay centers on navigating obstacle-filled tracks, where players must carefully manage both speed and balance to overcome jumps, slopes, and hazards. The control scheme is easy to understand, but mastering it requires a strong sense of timing and awareness. Small adjustments in how you land or accelerate can dramatically affect your trajectory, and this creates a loop where success feels earned through repetition and gradual improvement. Early stages serve as a gentle introduction, allowing players to grasp the fundamentals, but the difficulty increases steadily, pushing players to refine their technique and react more precisely to increasingly complex layouts. Level design plays a significant role in maintaining engagement, with each stage introducing new combinations of obstacles that test different aspects of the physics system. Some levels emphasize careful navigation, while others focus on speed and momentum, creating a varied but cohesive progression. The inclusion of procedurally generated levels adds an extra layer of replayability, offering unpredictable challenges that extend the experience beyond the main campaign. This blend of structured and randomized content helps keep the gameplay from becoming entirely predictable, even if the core mechanics remain consistent. Multiplayer functionality adds another dimension to the experience, allowing players to compete or ride alongside others. This shifts the tone from methodical solo progression to a more dynamic and often chaotic interaction, where the unpredictability of other players introduces new challenges. While the single-player mode emphasizes mastery and consistency, multiplayer brings a more casual and social element that can make the game feel less punishing and more entertaining. Visually, the game adopts a bright and stylized aesthetic that complements its arcade nature. The environments are clean and easy to read, which is essential given the precision required for gameplay. While the visuals are not particularly detailed, they are effective in supporting the mechanics, ensuring that players can focus on the action without distraction. Customization options for the rider and bicycle add a small degree of personalization, though they do not significantly impact the overall experience. The audio design maintains a light and energetic tone, reinforcing the game’s accessible and playful atmosphere. Despite its strengths, the game’s reliance on a single central mechanic can lead to a sense of repetition over time. While level design introduces new challenges, the fundamental interaction—balancing and controlling the bike—remains unchanged throughout. For players who enjoy refining a specific skill, this consistency can be appealing, but for others, it may limit long-term engagement. Additionally, the physics system, while generally effective, can occasionally feel inconsistent, leading to moments where outcomes seem less predictable than expected. The pacing of the game also reflects its design philosophy. It is well-suited for short sessions, where players can attempt a few levels, improve their performance, and gradually build mastery. However, extended play sessions can highlight the lack of variation, as the experience does not evolve significantly beyond its initial mechanics. This makes it a game that is best enjoyed in bursts rather than as a prolonged, continuous experience. Ultimately, Watch Your Ride – Bicycle Game succeeds as a focused and skill-driven arcade title that offers a satisfying challenge for players willing to engage with its physics-based systems. It doesn’t attempt to expand beyond its core idea, but within that scope, it delivers a consistent and often rewarding experience. While its simplicity may limit its appeal over time, it remains an enjoyable and accessible game for those who appreciate precision, timing, and the process of gradual improvement. Rating: 7/10
