About

The rules are simple: one, whoever draws the shortest straw enters first. Two, no lights except your jar of fireflies. And three, whoever finds the complete collection of cards hidden in the house becomes the gang leader. Do you accept the challenge?
There’s only one problem: a presence roams the place, turning your search into hell.
Be quick. Hide. Don’t make a noise. And above all...don’t get caught!
What begins as a game turns into a race for survival.
From Octavi Navarro (Thimbleweed Park, Photographs...) and Susanna Granell, creators of the critically acclaimed games The Supper, The Librarian, and the Midnight Scenes series, comes this weird and peculiar horror game for fans of the genre.

Immersive horror experience that will keep you on your toes.
Gorgeous combination of 3D environments and pixel art.
Eerie soundtrack.
Atmospheric sound effects.
Interact with dozens of objects in a house full of secrets, and discover the truth about its late inhabitants.
Your only light source is a jar of fireflies.
Find all the cards hidden in the house before the presence gets you.
Good luck!!!

Not much to say, the art is nice but other than that there's not much game, it's your pretty standard streamer bait with jump scares, just clicking and holding to search, and the RNG gods decide whether a particular run is beatable or not. The UI and controls are REALLY bad, you get hung up on items very easily
Beat the game, pretty fun, just not worth the money. Already requested a refund!
Developer and his buddies have some really amazing takes when it comes to refunds and consumer rights so this one's on them. Cheers. imgur . com/a/qD1mDwY BTW cool piss jar. Just like in my Tea Fort 2.
I'm trying my best to write a review that isn't influenced by the recent issues surrounding the dev, which is the entire reason I gave the game a try, seeing Steam said it had similarities to games like Inscryption, which I enjoyed, but there's really not a whole lot good to say about Uninvited, or much to say about it at all. The game seems almost deliberately tedious at times, between the forward key just refusing to work seemingly for no reason, the amount of times the game forces you to just stand there and do nothing because it said so, and the mandatory "old man tells you about buying items" dialogue is unbearable past the first or second attempt. The visuals are ok at first glance, but then you see flickering overlapping textures and what should just be a flat floor, and when you get a clear look at the monster, you see it's just a terrible 2D sprite that slides towards you, which really takes away from what could otherwise be charming art design. Nothing even remotely good to say about the audio, the voice clips when selecting a character are terrible, and seem to be immune to changing the volume settings, and no matter how low I put the SFX slider, certain sounds when searching are deafening compared to others. All in all, it just feels half-baked and uninspiring.
I technically received this game for free since I requested a refund for it. Gameplay-wise, it's just search, search, search. So yeah, pretty tedious.
i bought it blindly beacuse i really liked the artstyle- its just a generic run and hide first person horror game. that run horribly bad, wiht no graphics settings. refunded real quick
It's one of those "find a list of things while a monster stalks the area" games. It's nicely done and has a humorous twist on the genre, but it suffers from one major problem: the monster is always near you, because the house is kind of small and it seems to wander around pretty quickly. This robs the game of any tension it could have, because you won't have time to feel anxious or wonder what to do, but instead are constantly busy listening to which direction the singing comes from and fleeing into a different room. Doesn't help you have a sweat meter that fills quickly, There's a bit more meat to the gameplay than usual, but the monster is way too penetrant and it becomes more of a bother than a scare. If you had better options to be left alone more often, this would get a thumbs up. But the way it is now, it's simply neither fun nor scary.
Wanted to like this for the art style but it's buggy. When the monster sees you, you need to move to another room, and often I would freeze in place or be unable to move in a certain direction which would allow her to teleport on top of me. I've also had two instances where I was immediately found in a closet even though she hadn't yet entered the room. Her singing is also supposed to be her tell as far as when she'll appear and I've found that a little unreliable - sometimes she'd appear on top of me near a door without me ever hearing her. The other elements here are charming, but even for an indie game I was a little let down.
O jogo é bom e tem uma mecânica bem genérica e simples, mas legal. Por enquanto vou deixar pra compra-lo mais pra frente.
Very nice little spooky game with some beautiful pixel art visuals; you have to search for cards in a hounted house using three different characters with their own buffs or debuffs, if one of them gets caught you try again with another one until you beat the game or run out of lives. There's some people on the internet saying the game is pretty unbalanced or that It's too hard. Maybe It could get some changes but It's not impossible by all means, you are expected to die on your first tries and that's ok, you start learning the rules of the game and slowly develop your own strategy and routes to make the best out of each run and then... you beat it! I found it pretty cool in that regard and reaching the ending was satisfactory, If you like that kind of gameplay and enjoy small unique games like this one I'm sure you'll like it too, give it a try.
