Wasteland Angel

It's alright, does the job for a bit of entertainment for a few hours. Not exactly setting the world on fire, but it gets the job done, you know what I mean? Picture this: you're cruising in that 2D overhead view, popping off shots and trying to keep those towns safe. Then boom! You switch to this 3D bumper cam for the bonus levels, spicing things up a bit. It's all about shooting and driving, classic arcade style. Me? I clocked about two hours on it, and that's about as much as you'll wanna invest unless you're absolutely dead set on hitting that 100% completion. Trust me, no need to outstay your welcome with this one.

Wasteland Angel es un juego arcade motorizado (que te recordará a la saga Mad Max) donde debemos disparar a todo lo que se mueva. Todo lo que se mueva y sea diferente a nosotros es el mal y merece ser erradicado ya que si no secuestrarán a los ciudadanos de los puebluchos que protegemos. Es un juego sencillo y es pequeño en todos sus aspectos (gráficos, sonido, jugabilidad…), aunque con un control ORTOPÉDICO y MALÍSIMO, pero también es un juego divertido, o al menos lo es en un principio, porque después del nivel 2 ya empieza a ser un poco repetitivo... pero bueno, que cumple su objetivo y punto pelota. PD: manita arriba porque me han salido unos nuggets buenísimos, gracias y saludos.

The game is a "wave base defense game" in which most of the levels you are defending 1 or 2 cities from being snatched up by whatever evil gangs that exists in the wasteland. All the while dealing with the other vehicles that try and take you out. While the core gameplay of the game is fine, it quickly becomes repetitive and becomes less and less engaging. The game has some super weapons that you can randomly get from dead enemies, which can make the gameplay a bit more varied, but does not save it. The areas consists of 4 levels 1-2 are the defense miassions, 1 boss fight and then 1 bonus mission that's either a time race, kill as many enemies before you die, or kill as many enemies before the timer runs out the defense missions are probably the best the game has to offer, as the bossfights are copy pasted twice and requires you to use 1 super weapon over and over again until they die, the bonus missions are fine, but just feels not worth doing. The car controls are serviceable, but is definetly not the best and you will experience times where they feel wonky and terrible to control. Not to mention the abundance of objects you bounce of off from angles and areas where their hitbox geometry does not even reach, you will have a lot of times where the car will flip on it's side, either because of enemy vehicles or because of something in the level, not to mention that you can get stuck in the geometry and while the game has a "reset car" button, it works better for when the car has flipped, than when it's stuck in the geometry The enemy also has issues with the levels, as a lot of times you will see the icon that represents an enemy, outside of the visible map, because they got stuck on something, or another enemy. it's buggy as well and sometimes it can mean a restart of a mission because it softlocks you from progressing. The soundtrack fits the theme of a wasteland and to that is a bit generic. There is a story, but it's forgetable I wouldn't really recommend this, go play some other car game

Це динамічний аркадний шутер з видом згори, меланхолійними гітарними переборами у стилі вестерну, та 3 ігровими режимами (основний режим це захист поселень, а бонусні — перегони і шаленство (вбивства за час). Суть гри полягає в керуванні малолітражним автомобілем, оснащеним кулеметами та гранатометами, та знищувати ворогів з усіх боків. Наприкінці серії рівнів на гравця чекають боси, яких необхідно знищувати за допомогою додаткової зброї, такої як міни, терміт чи електричні імпульси. Рівні повторюються, як і вороги, змінюються лише трохи мапи рівнів. Перемикання на 3D-бамперну камеру для бонусних рівнів трохи розбавляє рутину. До керування потрібно звикнути, бо пошкоджень від зіткнень немає (крім зіткнень з ворогами), а машину може добряче відкидати та перевертати. Висновок: непогана гра. Не заскладна, не задовга, без чудернацьких досягнень. Постріляв, послухав гітарний перебір, подивився комікс, знову постріляв під рок-музику і так по колу. broken, cheap, bad. i found nothing redeeming about my time with wasteland angel except for mild humor in breaking the mission structure using continue from the main menu. jumped to level 105 and i guess there are leaderboard positions for these glitched busted levels. every single stage seemed to take place in the same dusty poorly made map. reminded me a bit of defender or missle command. the ai is abysmal to the point of possibly just being outright broken, maybe it was playing on medium since there is zero incentive except maybe leaderboard category? to play on any specific difficulty. if you can manage to flip your car you can see the wheels are just floating way underneath the car. the physics are boring and bad and the combat is a snooze. worse than most mobile games of this type at this point. absolutely no reason to play it unless you need to put yourself on every leaderboard possible even though this one is of course not policed and entire hacked/glitched to whatever maximum score value

This game isn't bad as bad as people say. Gave me the vibe of a top down, super light weight version of Twisted Metal. (That's being super generous.) But, I had a ton of fun with this so far. It's not worth $9.99, not even 99c. If you are reading this without a copy you should just find a free bundle that includes this. Good for 1-2 hours of fun.

Really enjoyed this title! Shocked to see has mixed reviews. This game has a lot to offer. The visuals are really nice. You fight wave after wave of enemy vehicles whilst defending the civilians from being vacuumed up by the enemy. There are three different minigames inbetween the normal levels and bosses. These are survival, elimination and a racing circuit. Nice to mix it up with those. It can be a little bit repetitive, but other than that it plays real nice!

Wasteland Angel - Review. NOTE The shown Playtime is not my real Playtime I played it offline so it does not show my real Playtime. Bugs/Glitches. There were none not a one Props to the Developers with that one. Story. It was okay not amazing but I enjoyed it well enough especially for the price. Graphics. It's not amazing but again I liked it well enough. Character. Angel is nice I really liked the Art Style the Developers went with so that was nice. What I would Change. The Helicopters are annoying really, really annoying mainly the fact that you can't shoot at them unless they are on the ground. Price. I got it on sale for like $0.50 or something so over all It was a very good game for the price and If you like somewhat lighthearted wasteland games please give it a try.
